„Für Paare und kurz Aufenthalt zu empfehlen. Sehr gutes Essen. Für Familien nicht so geeignet. Straße ist laut und Restaurant sind immer gut besucht.“

„Tolle Unterkunft mitten im Nirgendwo um sich erholen zu können. Der Pub stammt aus dem 11.Jahrhundert und ist sehr gemütlich. Restaurant sehr gut und herzlich geführt. Zimmer eher schlicht. Einziges Manko sind die sehr weichen Betten. “

„Birthday stayover, we attended the Apex for a music event. The Fox had ample free parking, early book in, lovely walk into town via ruins gardens. Room was clean, warm, quiet and comfortable. We would definitely stay again and i would recommend“

„Netter Empfang,leider war das Zimmer noch nicht fertig(15 Uhr),Frühstück gut, nettes Personal, Negativ:nach 1,5 Std wurde uns mitgeteilt, das wir einen Aufpreis von 30 Pfd zahlen müßten da wir mit einem Hund angereist sind, das fanden wir leider nicht so gut und ist nicht empfehlenswert“

„The staff at The Wolf Inn were excellent and went above and beyond our expectations - we were staying there for a funeral on Tuesday and Monday evening the bar man arranged for my daughter to have an earlier than normal check in - i would highly recommend a stay here and i will definitely be back.“

„We had a very nice stay over New Year. Breakfast was great. As a guest staying at the Eels Foot, i would have liked to be able to book a table for dinner.“

„The hotel is part of a historic inn which was very atmospheric. We stayed in a family room for 3 people and the room was warm and cosy and welcoming as we arrived just before 9pm and it was a bit chilly in the countryside. Breakfast was excellent and in a nice dining room in a genuine rural setting. Service was friendly & excellent.“

„I couldn’t have wished for anything better! A spontaneous stay while I attended a course at the Curwen Print Study Centre near by (which is also excellent). The room was large yet super cosy, beautifully decorated with attention to detail. Lots of soft cushions, blankets and fluffy rugs. Everything was clean and tidy, and warm which was very much appreciated. The pub was so welcoming - staff and punters! And the food was home cooked, plentiful and very tasty. Definitely recommend the food 😀“

„Clean good sized room, towels, kettle, mugs/tea/coffee making facilities and ample breakfasts. Stayed in family rm and lucky to not have other people stay next door so had the shower/toilet to ourselves. Staff were nice, friendly and polite. Flexible in having takeaway sarnies for lunch in place of breakfast. Decor a bit dated and room a little too room, but on the whole felt very comfortable. Thanks 😊 “

„Easy check in, on first impression room was a good size , bed comfortable , bathroom the toilet looked like it had been broken for dome time, we did message North gate to inform them along with photos, but no response , crack in toilet seat is unhygienic ! Cobwebs in the bathroom as well Breakfast was ok We did inform someone about the toilet seat again when we checked out“
