Despite not having AC like most homes in the area, each room did include window units which really helped cool the rooms down. Location is great and the hiking trail behind the home is convenient. „Lazy Bear Lodge is a great West Shore place for summer activities; ideal for spending days at Meeks, Chambers, or heading up to float the Truckee. Kitchen had everything we needed. The front seems pretty hemmed in by the neighbors but the back of the property opens up to the woods. We got to see a bear and her two cubs roll past one evening which was exciting for the kids. „Super peaceful. Clean. Super comfy beds. Waterfront location was great. Would stay here again. Pan selection was a bit limited (can’t bring your own due to having an invection stovetop) and only plastic wine glasses available (makes sense for when down by water), so if you’re a wine snob, bring your own glassware. “
