„Pros: Valerie is a kind host, and the property is in one of the most beautiful areas I have ever stayed. Cons: There is one shared bathroom on the first floor. There is no bathroom in the room, or the one next door which I saw when I found out that the dividing door was not locked. „Beautiful view over the canal. The am breakfast was great. Rooms are large and less than flashy but it is a recovered old brick mill so what I’d expect. The downtown was old w some closed shops but we still found plenty to do. Visit an old castle near town for a real step back in time. I would stay at Stone Mill again. “

The inn dates back to the 1800's and four U.S. Presidents have stayed here. „We loved our stay! If possible, having different breakfast options each day might make longer stays a bit better, rather than the same menu each day. „The cottage we stayed in was adorable with our own little porch. John was so welcoming. The food for breakfast looked amazing even though we didn’t have the chance to eat. They offer thoughtful touches like a s’mores set up for you if you want to sit by the fire pit and fresh cookies to take during the day. "Empfang: okay - keine Hilfe mit Gepäck, wagen schiebt man alleine hoch, Türen sind, wenn man das alleine tut nicht sehr vorteilhaft. Reinigung: lässt zu Wünschen übrig (Popcorn und Co unter dem Sofa, Haare im Badezimmer,…) und auch während Aufenthalt wurde lediglich das Bett gemacht und Tücher gewechselt… mit Kleinkind sehr enttäuschend Essen: Essen im Restaurant war gut aber viel zu teuer… Lärm: nebst der sehr lauten Klimaanlage kan auch ein enormes Geräusch (Brummen) von draussen in den Raum… Das Städtchen selbst ist aber einen Tagesaufenthalt wert "
