„It’s okay for a night or two not a first or second choice however. The cosmetic upgrade for this property is okay in comparison to the cost of the stay. The doors only have a button lock on some cottages and seems like the original handle, it was loose and the key was sticking. Though I was accommodated with a different cottage that had a padlock as well, there was a visible mold and moisture issue causing the laminate floors to bubble. „TJ was awesome! He went above and beyond to accommodate us due to the cook not being available this weekend. We got upgraded from a very nice room at the Brunswick (our original reservation in Room 9), to the beautiful suite at their sister property, Union Gables, in the Henry suite. „Der Empfang war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Haus hat seinen Charme bewahrt. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und groß, allerdings für meine Begriffe wäre etwas mehr Blick aufs Detail angebracht. Der Hinterhof ist sehr idyllisch eingerichtet und lädt zum Entspannen ein. Beim Frühstück ist Selbstbedienung, wobei die Küche groß, modern und gut ausgestattet ist. Nachts war etwas Strassenlärm zu hören, was uns aber nicht groß gestört hat. Insgesamt haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt.“

„Es ist eher ein kleines Museum mit vielem Gesammelten, aber mit Liebe hergerichtet. Einzig, dass man einen kleinen Platz frei hätte, wo man seinen Sachen hinlegen kann, ohne erstmal umzuräumen, wäre gut. Das Bett war sehr bequem, man konnte die Fenster öffnen und gut dort schlafen. Die kleinen Brownies als Begrüßung waren super lecker. Und das Frühstück war eine große Überraschung. Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis super. „Our stay was PHENOMENAL. Our 2nd time this year and we plan on making this a regular trip. To be able to stay away in a beautiful place thats like home away from home. The environment is so peaceful, the staff goes above and beyond, the breafast is amazing and the property is gorgeous and always so clean. “

„Der Empfang war freundlich und das Personal sehr bemüht. Allerdings waren die Zimmer sehr verwohnt ( obwohl wir nur zu zweit waren war auch die Couch als Bett hergerichtet, wodurch sehr wenig Raum zum Bewegen war) und kein Wohlgefühl aufkam. Der Garten war lieblos und ungepflegt. Insgesamt ein sauberer Aufenthalt mit Flair, der leider nur oberflächlich war.“

„This is a very nice historic inn. We stayed in room 6 which was exactly as advertised. The room was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was very good and was cooked to order. Lastly the attached pub was a nice perk and enjoyable. My girlfriend has already said that we will still here again the next time we are in the area.“

„Great vibe, but the Inn is quite old and noise travels. Luckily we were the only ones staying there. Other visitors had booked cabins. But when they come for morning coffee, they can be heard quite clearly. The manager is friendly and responsive. The bartender is top notch. The morning coffee is quite good as are the cookies! Overall, nice relaxing stay. “

„Excellent stay! Valerie and Eric were fantastic hosts who gave us a warm welcome. They were giving great recommendations on dinner and to do‘s in the area. The inn is quiet, very clean and the room was cosy! We immediately felt like home! The breakfast was outstanding! Next time being in Hudson valley we will definitely stay in the Journey Inn again!“

„Had a wonderful and relaxing evening and breakfast at Sutherland. Very much enjoyed the group setting for breakfast and meeting the other guests. The cook did a really great job rearranging to accommodate a couple that accidentally forgot to book breakfast and the meal was delicious. We love the Canandaigua area for a quick “day and a half trip” and will absolutely stay here again.“

"Nuestra estancia en este hotel fue simplemente genial, una experiencia verdaderamente fantástica para conocer Nueva York. Su ubicación es inmejorable, justo en el corazón de la ciudad, lo que nos permitió ir andando a muchísimos sitios de interés sin apenas necesitar el metro. ¡Fue increíblemente práctico! El servicio merece una mención especial: fue genial en todo momento. Todo el personal nos atendió de maravilla, siempre muy atentos y amables, haciéndonos sentir muy bienvenidos. Además, la calidad se respira en cada esquina del hotel; todo está muy cuidado y se nota el esmero en los detalles. Sin duda alguna, recomendaría este hotel a cualquiera que quiera disfrutar de Nueva York desde una base cómoda, céntrica y con un servicio excelente. ¡Volveríamos sin pensarlo!"

"Ich komme immer wieder gerne her. Alles war sauber und das Personal war nett und hat mir bei allem geholfen, was ich brauchte. Direkt gegenüber von Port Authority und damit von jedem Flughafen unkompliziert zu erreichen. Times Square, Broadway, Grand Central etc. sind nur einen kurzen Fußweg entfernt."

"Schönes Hotel mit freundlichem Personal. Wir hatten die Arlosuite für 7 Nächte und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die dazugehörige Dachterrasse ist bei schönem Wetter einfach spitze! Entgegen der oft gelesenen Kritik am Frühstück können wir uns nicht beschweren. Es war für jeden etwas dabei und dazu auch noch echt lecker."
