„Bei der Ankunft sollten wir erst das Auto auf den hinteren Parkplatz fahren, was das Transportieren der Koffer für uns mehr als erschwert hätte. Der Servicegeber/ Eigentümer ließ sich da noch für die Koffer "erweichen". Wir mussten uns noch rechtfertigen, dass wir schon um 13.30 Uhr angekommen sind. Dann wurde er etwas freundlicher. „We had a wonderful stay at the Shandaken Inn - it really exceeded our expectations. The property is lovely and the inn is extremely well maintained and comfortable. Everything you need is right there. The outdoor dining area looks out to the open space and the surrounding mountains. „Der Empfang war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Haus hat seinen Charme bewahrt. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und groß, allerdings für meine Begriffe wäre etwas mehr Blick aufs Detail angebracht. Der Hinterhof ist sehr idyllisch eingerichtet und lädt zum Entspannen ein. Beim Frühstück ist Selbstbedienung, wobei die Küche groß, modern und gut ausgestattet ist. Nachts war etwas Strassenlärm zu hören, was uns aber nicht groß gestört hat. Insgesamt haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt.“
