WONDERFUL FARMHOUSE " IL CASALE DEL GELSO" NEAR ROME AND THE SEA.

The farmhouse "Casale del Gelso" is located in the countryside of Parco dei Castelli Romani, just a 4 kilometers from the center of Ariccia and Genzano di Roma, only 25 minutes by train, you can reach the center of Rome. All amenities are close by, but a car is needed to get around. Strategic location for reaching Naples (2 hours by train) and Pompeii. The farmhouse is located 10 minutes from Nemi with its Lake, 15 minutes from Albano and Castel Gandolfo, only 30 minutes from the sea.
The Casale del Gelso enjoys a spectacular view of the Circeo promontory and its islands, the sun terrace and the vast park surrounding the Casale are completed with tables, chairs, deckchairs and numerous relaxation areas with cushions and sofas, barbecue area and wood oven.
The Vagaggini’s family owns Casale del Gelso since many years. It is based on the agro Romano and it was built during the early 900’. The main structure runs around the medieval tower, and it is surrounded by a park with plants and olive trees.
We started in 2011 the restoration of the main building with great care and love for the style we wanted to keep in. Demolition materials were reused in a creative way : the old roof tiles have become the square in front of the portico, the use of terracotta, wood, green Tuff and the renovated old furniture with shabby chic style have given a special warm and harmonious atmosphere all around the Casale. Rural elements can be found in the large arch, in the barn and in the oven.

Internally the ground floor of the farmhouse has 4
comfortable and elegant bedrooms each with a private bathroom with shower, with the possibility of a bed for a child.
All rooms have cool / hot air conditioning, TV, free wi-fi connection. The rooms are non-smoking but it is possible to smoke in the garden.
The KITCHEN is equipped with: Smeg hob with 5 burners, Smeg extractor hood, maxi fridge with freezer, 12 serving plates and cutlery, water and wine glasses, pots, pans and other accessories.

Guests can enjoy the large Casale Park with centuries-old plants and olive trees reserved EXCLUSIVELY for them and enriched by numerous relaxation areas (loungers, sofas, hammocks).
Our guests will be welcomed with a WELCOME with all our products: fruit from our orchard, homemade cake, extra virgin olive oil, eggs, perfumes and garden products based on season (basil, thyme, tomatoes, zucchini, etc.).
You can also experience the thrill of a hot bath under the stars even on the coldest days. Moments of pure relaxation in the open air immersed in the WHIRLPOOLl with 40 ° water. Our guests have EXCLUSIVE access to the hot tub spa with whirlpool and chromotherapy, immersed in an unforgettable atmosphere: the crackling stove, the smell of wood, the wonderful view to the Circeo and its islands.
The hot tub is free with room temperature water, if you want water at 40 degrees you have 1 free entrance.

with guests the garden our meadow is a field of infinite riches: chicory, Borage, ramoraccia, Burnet ... Strolling through the olive trees, our guests are free to gather and enjoy a fresh salad of field or if you prefer can take home our products to find scents and smells of the House of Mulberry.
HARVESTING OLIVES a day together, a good experience, a way to enjoy our products. Extra Virgin olive oil Casale del Gelso is an oil obtained from olives of different qualities, including Frantoio, Leccino, Rosciola.
