Gute Lage, sauberes schönes Zimmer. Hatten ein Zimmer mit eigenem Bad, gibt auch welche mit Gemeinschaftsbad.

Industriestiel im Historischen gebäude

Tolles historisches Gebäude mit einer tollen Dachterrasse! Die Zimmer sind im Industriestil schlicht eingerichtet, aber gemütlich und sauber. Das Personal ist super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Hotel liegt Downtown unweit vom Fluss Willamette und dem Convention Center. Alle Sehenswürdigkeiten sind fußläufig erreichbar und wer nicht laufen mag findet in unmittelbarer Nähe auch Straßenbahn- und Bushaltestellen als auch einige der zahlreichen Stationen von Biketown (Fahrrad Selfservice Mietsteionen von Nike).

Sehr schönes Hotel mitten in der Stadt!

Sehr schönes Hotel und Zimmer mitten in der Stadt! Sehr nette Mitarbeiter, geben super Tipps zu Sehenswürdigkeiten oder anderen Dingen (z.B. waren bei uns die Multnomah Falls geschlossen, haben stattdessen aufgrund des Tipps den Beacon Rock Trail gemacht, der sehr zu empfehlen ist!!!)

Einfaches Hotel mit gutem Preis-Leistungsverhältni

Die Zimmer sind sehr einfach aber Zweckmässig eingerichtet. Wir hatten ein Zimmer ohne Dusche. Die Möglichkeit auf der Etage war jedoch gut und sauber. Die rooftop Bar war gemütlich. Das Personal war sehr hilfsbereit. Wir würden wieder buchen.

Hotel luxury at hostel price

Ignoring the human elephant sleeping in the bunk above me, The Society Hotel's bunk room is possibly the nicest hostel I've ever stayed in (and I'm well seasoned). Some may be wary with 24 beds in a single room and triple towered beds, but you'd never know you were sharing with that many. The semi-private curtained beds feel like memory foam mattresses, all linen and a selection of size towels is provided as well as other necessities like toiletries and ear plugs. Great for anyone travelling light. Multiple bathrooms meant never waiting in line. The location is less than a 10 minute walk from the Greyhound and Amtrak stations and similar to the centre of downtown shopping so perfect for getting around easily. The staff were polite, friendly and super helpful at check in and check out. The roof terrace was an added bonus to spend the last few hours in Portland with a local beer in the sunshine. An honestly perfect hostel room I would recommend to anyone.

Fantastic hotel but in a rather ‘edgy’ area

An excellent hotel with fantastic, friendly staff, a clean and comfortable room (we had one with a private bathroom) and lovely rooftop terrace and cafe in the lobby. Only downside is the area - noisy clubs/pubs and lots of homeless people around... definitely feels a bit edgy. Plenty of police around too but I’d recommend an Uber rather than walking if travelling alone after dark. Shame because the hotel itself is great so if it was in what felt like a safer area it would be perfect.

The Portland vibe

I stayed 5 nights at this hotel, which looked like it had a Portland "vibe" being a bit warehouse style and with a cafe/bar downstairs. my room was large and comfortable and I had my own bathroom- there was no fridge or television in the room but if you are out enjoying Portland they are not necessary. Staff were really helpful particularly with public transport options. The hotel is at the junction of lots of public transport and also walking distance to the city centre, the weekend markets, the river and lots of dining and breweries. The cafe breakfast was so good I ate there every morning and after a day exploring the city it was great to return to the hotel and relax and enjoy a drink, which could be up on the rooftop. Given the hotel is close to music and food venues it was quiet in my room though ear plugs are thoughtfully available. Though used to seeing homeless persons while travelling in USA I was surprised at the numbers of homeless in Portland city including the blocks around the hotel and various parks etc. so that's my only negative in relation to the hotel location. Otherwise it was a great hotel from which to explore Portland with cheerful and helpful staff

Very hip but spare

Great location for Chinatown, VoiDoo Donuts, and the Saturday Market. We stayed in a room with a private bath; it was spacious and spotless. BUT...you xmcan’t control the room temperature and the loud music at nearby clubs goes very late on the weekends. No suitcase racks, closet, coffee maker, or television. Amazing staff. Cool Historic Hotel.

Nice place

The hotel was well located in central Portland within easy walking distance to everything. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was nice (I stayed in a private room with ensuite) and everything was clean. The wifi was also good.

Affordable, central hotel

The hotel and staff were fantastic! The rooms were cool in the hot weather and the patio was lovely. We didn't run into anybody at the shared bathroom during our whole stay. Only downside is the area is a bit sketchy, but if you're used to the big city it shouldn't be an issue. Big recommendation from us.

Excellent hostel area. very clean, modern and comfortable. It was in the trendy part of the city with downtown only a short walk away. The roof top terrace was a bonus! staff were helpful and friendly.

Great place!

This hotel was perfect for what we needed it for- a place to stay in a central part of town. The front desk staff were all nice and accommodating, the rooftop bar is awesome, and if you're a guest, you can bring your own drinks up there to enjoy. I thought the shared bathroom would possible be an issue, but there wasn't a single time in 2 days that it was unavailable when I went to use it. The best part is our room overlooked the drag show establishment across the street so we ended up going over there on a Saturday night, hands down the highlight of the trip.

Convenience for a good price

Check-in was quick and cordial. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the Portland area and all the main attractions. The rooms were clean and the shared bathrooms/showers were cleaned frequently. The hotel however is located around a few night clubs making it very loud at night...earplugs are needed. Many homeless people also can be seen in the area but compared to other hotels in the downtown area, the price cannot be beat. Also, there is a rooftop terrace to socialize and a hotel café located downstairs.

Location was amazing. Hotel itself - well kept very clean, hotel provided essential toiletries, I stayed in bunk bed room and had enough privacy, roommates were quiet and respectable, I felt my belongings were safe when I left for the day or night.
