Location is amazing for getting into NYC (very close to PATH) and for flights from Newark.
Unfortunately, the sleep quality was terrible. They seem to cater to long-term renters who use it as a work-from-home office space in the India time zone (meaning all night long). So I was listening to a loud work conversation through the paper thin walls until 12:30am, when I finally knocked on the door next to mine (because no one from Magnolia House was responsive when I reached out through the app). The person next door argued with me for a while about whether my request for quiet after midnight was reasonable. He said he had been staying there for months, using it as an office space and talking loudly through the night every night. He said he didn’t think anyone minded, because he often hears other people doing the same. He finally agreed to quiet down, so I got a couple hours of sleep before waking up early to catch my flight.
If you are looking for an office space to work the night shift, this might be a great spot for you. If you are looking for a place to get a good night’s rest, find another place.
