„We stayed here for a couple of nights for a long weekend exploring the Yorkshire Wolds. The location is great, being close to a few larger towns like Driffield and Pocklington, but also close to some amazing walking including a stretch of the Yorkshire Wolds Way. The room was really lovely, the staff friendly, and the food and beer fantastic. We will definitely stay again when we're next out this way! “

„Es gab sehr reichliches, gutes Frühstück nach typisch englischer Art. In der Dusche funktionierte leider das kalte Wasser nicht, so dass man nicht duschen konnte. Denn das heiße Wasser allein war viel zu heiß. Das Fenster klemmte, so dass man es schlecht öffnen konnte.“

„The hotel is situated near a noisy road, by car easily accessible though. In the moment a new building next door is under construction. The room we had was standard, same as the other parts of tge hotel. But the breakfast was exceptional by English standards with fresh fruit salat and a big choice.“

"Altmodisches aber gepflegtes Hotel zentral in York gelegen. Unser Zimmer war großzügig und das Bett gemütlich - was mich jedoch enorm gestört hat, war der fettige Gestank der vom Frühstück ins ganze Haus zieht und dort stehenbleibt. Auch bei offenem Fenster hatte ich den Geruch nach Bratfett noch in der Nase und zu Hause muss ich erstmal alle Textilien incl der Jacke waschen."

"A lovely old hotel. All rooms were tastefully and stylishly furnished. Our room was very spacious and modernly furnished. The bathroom was also very nice. The breakfast was good and there was something for every taste. Only the jam dispensers were a bit complicated to handle."
