The property was very good overall. Well kept up and clean. The room layout worked well with our family. The weather was iffy, but that was certainly not the hotel's fault. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The food was very good. Our only disappointment was that the advertisement had suggested that there was a kitchenette, which, other than a small fridge and a coffeemaker turned out not to be true. Also, the coat closet was filled with the owner's things and could not be used. As we were there for 4 days with kids, this was not appreciated. Overall, very good experience though -- 4/5.

Great View

The Unit itself was very clean and has a great view. The beach was well kept, which is where we spent our time. The pool was very small, the lazy river is not impressive, and the water was colder than the ocean. Be prepared to have any beverages or food charged a 22% Surcharge. The staff stated this was a new European model to maintain staffing levels, and no additional tip is required. About half of the staff said it was okay and the other half hated the concept. The food was really good though, especially the Seabass. The communication with the property manager was great and we would stay here again.

The condo is very spacious and the beds were comfortable. The condo is well stocked for all your needs. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The owner is quick to respond. Would definitely stay again!

Amazing X 100

By far the most beautiful place we’ve ever stayed in. I booked this room for a mom & daughters trip. We only had two nights and wished we had more. This suite is stunning! The balcony has the perfect views and everything is fresh, clean & coastal. Can’t wait to book a longer visit in he near future. Thank you Sue.

Love this room at the Pelican Grand!

Stayed with 2 friends for a getaway and had a wonderful time! Room was clean and comfortable. Loved the rockers on the back deck. The Pelican Grand is a wonderful place to stay (SUCH amazing service) and we will be back next year! The owner was responsive and helpful. One thing to note: The bathroom door is a barn door that doesn’t lock.

I couldn’t recommend enough

The owner Sue was amazing her unit was great everything was clean. She kept an open line of communication with us during our stay. Offered us late check out contacted the property for us. The check in was easy everything was as described in the posting. We had our children with us they had a great time in the pool. We never had to wait for our car which was nice. The front desk, valet, restaurant, and ice cream shop staff were amazing. The only negative I would have to say the Rec. Supervisor was unprofessional at best when asking about chairs on the beach. Complete attitude and couldn’t even take the time to look at you when speaking. Apparently I wasn’t the only guest that felt that way numerous guest complained to the GM which he didn’t seem to care you can see the problems start at the Top. However, the good out weighed the bad. Sue was amazing I couldn’t recommend her enough

Great place to stay for a quick getaway

My husband and I wanted a place to stay that could offer beach towel/chair service, restaurants that were walkable or inside the resort and a beautiful view. This place had it all! The condo itself was perfect for the two of us. The owners were easy to work with. Would definitely stay here again!

Fantastic Resort and Host

We loved the Pelican!!!! This place has everything, beach, pool, store, lazy river, restaurant, live music. The resort is so clean and the staff is amazing! Sue checked in with us before we left and during our stay. We couldn’t have asked for anything more!

Wonderful!

This unit was a great space for our family of 4. Plenty of room to spread out and not trip over each other. Views were amazing! . Beautiful resort. Sue was very easy to work with, and answered any questions we had immediately. The unit had some extras like toaster-over, microwave, and a medium sized fridge. We had breakfast or lunches in the room. Really enjoyed our stay!

I took a girls trip (ages 45-47) to this property. The set up of the room was great. The small fridge was large enough for light lunches and drinks. If you were here for a whole week you might miss a way to cool real food, but we wanted to eat out every night for dinner. The bathroom shower is total glass, so unless you’re close with your traveling companions it’s one in the bathroom at a time. Other than that the bathroom is fine. The property is beautiful. The beach is amazing. The staff was super kind and helpful. The food at the hote is good and not really that over priced. We were happy to discover there was beach service so we did t even have to get up for drinks! The owner was easy to communicate with and had no Checkin or out issues. I would totally come back here. I will say the area and hotel would get boring for a family with small kids after a couple days. But, for 3 middle aged woman escaping kids for a few days it was perfect.

Family Spring Break

We had a great stay in this quiet, comfortable unit in the Pelican Grand Beach Resort. The unit overlooks the beach and the view can't be beat. Our family enjoyed the lazy river, restaurant, private beach with chairs and umbrella, coffee/gelato shop and the many local restaurants. Make sure to get some food from Greek Islands Taverna!! Sue was great from the moment we booked with very detailed instructions and recommendations! Would highly recommend!!!

Wry nice hotel

Lovely unit, ocean front balcony. Nice to have chairs and umbrellas on the beach. If you are a walker, there are wonderful restaurants you can walk to about a mile up to 33rd St. - Italian, Greek, barbecue, seafood. Walk up Atlantic Avenue instead of A1A. A very nice walk - Having a car is very expensive as parking is $50 a night. The restaurant is good but if you stay for a week or more, you will probably want other options for food.

The unit was spotless and beautiful! Beds were very comfortable and the view was beautiful. The only downside was the room wasn’t available until 5:00 pm. However this was not the owners issue it was the resorts. We would definitely return!
