„We ate breakfast every morning on the back deck with our dog, Magnus. Trails galore to walk him on. The ones with rushing water beside them were so calming. After our walks, the hanging chairs on the front porch were a dream to hang out in with a cool drink and my Nintendo Switch. For dinners with a big dog; we were able to eat at the Lake House Restaurant on the lower deck where the boat slips are, at the Highland we were able to walk him through and eat on the back deck, and behind the Tiki ...

„The property was beautiful and on good days we could even see the mountains in the background. The antiques in the property were lovely and the house was very clean and spacious. We enjoyed the town of Rutherfordton even if it was small. The shops were fun and the food was good. Over all we had a great vacation in a wonderful location.“

„Bed was clean and both mattress and pillows were comfortable. Bathroom tub, toilet and sink area was clean. Bathroom floor looked like it needed a little extra cleaning. I know it can be difficult for housekeeping staff to view the room from the bathtub and toilet but if so, it would be good to do that because that is what your guest see. We had the King suite and we loved how spacious it was and the additional seating in the room was great. Overall definitely worth the affordable price.“

„Very spacious. It was great luxury to have 2 bedrooms, a living room and even a loft sitting room. The kitchen is well stocked. You don't have to worry about getting dishwasher detergent or coffee filters. My children enjoyed using the spa bath. Great screened porch that we didn't use because of the temperature. The downsides to this stay are poor wifi and channels are not extensive. A lot of backroads to get there meant quite a travel time to Asheville.“

„Bed was comfortable and service was good. Some guests across the way were up late working on a vehicle and other guests were arguing loudly a couple doors down. Fortunately it all stopped by midnight and I was able to drown out the noise in the meantime by keeping the fan on and the TV on low. Other than some rude guests, the room was clean, had everything I needed, and I did get plenty of sleep for field work the following morining.“

„They are clearly taking advantage of Covid-19. Only 1 restaurant open. Not a full menu. No restaurants open for breakfast. No room cleaning service. No fresh towels. Even if I was to exchange the used towels. No garbage pick up. I was lead to believe that my room was walking distance to everything. It wasn't! It wasn't even on the main property. It was a good 5 minute drive & minimum half hour walk. The room was quaint. Way too many restrictions on everything. No sauna or steam ...
