„The property is situated in a beautiful location handy for Bakewell and Buxton. The room was spacious and the bed was comfy although the pillows were not great. There was lots of storage for our things. The bathroom was also a good size but I was disappointed to find a couple of long black hairs on the floor! The staff were pleasant and efficient. The breakfast was plentiful and we also are there in the evening whi h was tasty and good value for money. There is plenty of parking space.“

„Das Hotel ist etwas ausserhalb des Ortes, nicht auf anhieb zu finden, liegt etwas zurück gesetzt an der Straße nach Buxton. Wir hatten ein ausreichend großes Zweibettzimmer, dass Bad war überraschend groß. in einem der Betten war die Matratze durchgelegen, das zweite Bett war in Ordnung. Es gab einen Wasserkocher, sowie Tee und Kaffee auf dem Zimmer. Wlan hat einandfrei funktioniert, allerdings hatten wir im Haus keinen Handyempfang, was aber nicht schlimm war. Das englische Frühstück war gut ...

„We had a fabulous 1 night stay, room was beautiful, patio area was great too. Only negative feedback was no milk and only a coffee machine which was awful for tea drinkers as the water tastes like coffee still. Saying this however we would come back and just bring a kettle! :0)“

„The hotel is very tastefully decorated and modern the staff very helpful and friendly the food excellent and cost was very reasonable. Unfortunately the room we stayed in was right at the front off the hotel it did have modern double glazed windows but they were useless the traffic outside never stopped until after midnight and restarted around 4 am.I am quite a heavy sleeper but this had to be the worst night’s sleep I’ve experienced at a hotel, the bed looked lovely but we couldn’t turn over ...

„The owners were lovely, welcoming and had thought of absolutely everything guests might need during their stay…nothing was too much trouble. Room was quiet, clean and loved the fridge given the hot weather. Location is 20minute walk into both Matlock and Cromford. But location is very hilly for both walking and driving with no local shops.“

„Stayed here for 2 night's in June and loved it, the place is warm and welcoming, the bed was massive and comfy with plenty of toiletries in the bathroom. Shower was easy to use and very clean, definitely stay here again. Breakfast was freshly cooked and cooked how you like it, the host was friendly and veey helpful.“
