„The holiday cottage was lovely and cosy the bed was nice and comfortable, it was nice of the owners to be left some eggs, milk, bread and butter for our breakfast. A couple of things I would recommend is instructions how to work the TV, microwave/ oven etc. The cottage was a bit far out for us as we were only visiting Chatsworth House and didn’t realise when we booked it that it was in the middle of nowhere, when we booked we typed in Bakewell, where actually it’s nowhere in Bakewell. Our fault ...

„Das Haus liegt ruhig und etwas abseits der anderen Häuser im kleinen, beschaulichen Ort Thorpe bei Ashbourne. Um das Haus herum Wiesen und Berge, sehr gute Wandergelegenheiten in alle Richtungen. Das Haus war erstklassig ausgestattet und wunderschön. Der Pool und die Schwimmhalle waren durchweg beheizt und wahnsinnig toll! Ray war unglaublich hilfsbereit und nett! Wir würden definitiv wieder hier her kommen.“

„Very lovely cottage in small, quiet Bradwell. A warm welcome. Very friendly neighbours, nice pub a few metres down the road. We felt at home and would have loved to stay longer. Parking is available but a bit tricky, very steep roads and narrow bends - the smaller the car, the better! “

„Whaley Bridge is interesting and active little town. Plenty of options for food and at least three good pubs. The cottage had everything we wanted and we did a couple of great walks from the door.“

„Helen's place was a great place to stay, with the place being very comfortable with it having great views of the farm fields. The place had all the things that we needed, including very comfortable bedding. Out side had a dedicated parking space and garden. There were also some nice walks in the immediate area. „What a lovely cottage. Very well furnished and equipped, in a lovely location. The cottage is even nicer than the photos suggest. However, if you ha e young children ( our grandchildren are ages 8, 5, 4 and 3), the neighbour is likely to complain. We received a message from the owner, with a complaint about the children running around and being noisy. Isn't that what children do when they are excited to be on holiday? The cottage does have floorboards which are quite noisy, but to expect them ...

„Wir hatten einen schönen Aufenthalt im sehr gemütlichen Cottage. Die Terrasse haben wir, so oft das Wetter es möglich machte, genutzt. Das Einchecken und die freundliche Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter waren völlig problemlos. Das nette Bakewell lädt zum Bummeln und Pub - Einkehr ein. Für nahe gelegene Schlossbesichtigungen und Wanderungen ein idealer Ausgangspunkt! Wir würde es wieder wählen!“

„WISH WE HADN’T!!! . No lights at all working on communal stairs so pitch black up to top floor apartment apartment. Stuff from other flats left on stairs so added to trip hazard. Kitchen poorly equipped , we had to go and buy something to cook in , no bread board , peeler etc. oven was disgusting, oily and old burnt food left in it . communication on location and flat number very poor so we ended up knocking on other people’s doors until we got a call from Vrbo finally . „Das Appartment ist sehr geräumig und bietet mit der voll ausgestatteten Küche die perfekte Basis um zur Erkundung der Gegend aufzubrechen. Alles war sehr gepflegt und sauber. Der Außenbereich ist fantastisch und hat den typisch britischen Cottage-Flair. Wir haben uns bei der Anreise leider etwas verirrt weshalb wir deutlich später als besprochen eintrafen. Der Vermieter war sehr verständnisvoll und hilfsbereit. Eine absolut empfehlenswerte Location.“

„Excellent communication with the owner on everything we asked. We had beautiful weather during our stay and made use of all the facilities. The only thing I was told about was that the bedrooms could do with blackout blinds. Other than that would highly recommend the property to anyone “
