Gorgeous hilltop hideaway
This is one of the highest houses in the lovely hilltop town of Casares. It is very well equipped and recently decorated so everything was in excellent condition. The house was immaculate and the owner allowed our dog to come too. The garden was an added bonus with a stunning view. The house is accessed up a very narrow road (dead end) with a tight turn at the top where you can drop bags off, but then it is a good (and steep) 10 minute walk to the town car park. We had a landrover and only just made it up the hill; we had less than an inch on either side! There are plenty of bars and restaurants in the towns main square. We had elderly people with us so they preferred not to brave the hill and go to the only close restaurant which was run by a Swiss who, although friendly, and the food nice, made up extortionate prices on the spot and certainly got the better of us on a few occasions! We would certainly return to this house again, but wouldn't take the grandparents next time as it was a climb too far for them!
