„We came looking for a camping spot for the solar eclipse. Our site was tucked away at the end of a huge field on a small peninsula with a running river nearby. The camping was amazing, the ground was nice and soft for our tents and we could build the campfire up with an endless supply of firewood. The stars were on full display as there wasnt much light pollution in this area. Taking a splash in the fast and cool river was a highlight. „We had a great time staying in the dome and wished we could have stayed longer. They thought of everything you’d need for a relaxing vacation! Very private and beautiful surroundings - we heard frogs and far off coyotes at night and woke up to find we were surrounded by wildflowers. You can even grill there. Totally want to come back.“

„It was a great spot. Quiet and peaceful. There is a short walk from parking to the site, but there’s a wagon to help haul stuff in and out. We heard frogs, owls, fox and coyote. Such beautiful sounds of nature. It rained A LOT during our stay and the tent did not leak at all. It stayed totally dry. The shower and outhouse were close enough that it wasn’t far during the night to go. The tent had cots (we used our blow up mattresses) they seemed comfy when we laid on them. The tent was a good ...

„My partner and I needed a place to camp for the total eclipse and came across Ryan's listing. Wasn't sure what to expect but was pleasantly surprised by the whole experience. "Das Cambria Hotel war das schönste auf unserer 4-wöchigen Reise durch die Neu-Englandstaaten. Das lag vor allem an den herzlichen Mitarbeitern (vom Hotel-Manager David angefangen) über die Leute an der Rezeption und im Restaurant. Zudem hat das Hotel einige Annehmlichkeiten, die deutlich über dem Durchschnitt liegen. (Laundry, Innenpool, Restaurant-Terrasse mit schönen Möbeln, Kajaks und Tretboote zum Ausleihen und einer schönen Aussenanlage am See mit Feuerstellen) Wir haben uns in dem schönen, recht großzügigen Zimmer mit Pantry, mit Ausblick auf die Berge und dem tollem Badezimmer sehr wohl gefühlt. Von uns gibt es eine Empfehlung für Lake Placid für dieses Hotel."
