The farm is very scenic and is located right along the West Creek Rail Trail - which I highly recommend for biking or jogging! „Wanted to spend a weekend somewhere we'd never been. The apartment we stayed in offered the ability to be able to fix our own meals, sleep in comfort and be walking distance from a multi-flavor soft ice cream shop. We were from 2 hours away. Visited the Benezette Elk Center as well as some of the Elk viewing areas (though we didn't expect to see any, as it was the wrong time of day and season). We also took a short hike. „Emporium is an old town so we knew ahead of time the home was going to be older. I think they did a nice job bringing it up to date considering its age. Beds were fairly comfortable. The detergent used for the comforter was a bit strong. Fridge's water/ice machine didn't seem to work but there was fresh water in the fridge for us guests. „Communication was great. The place was very clean and cozy. We felt like home. They had everything that we would ever think of( coffee and coffee marker, towels, cleaning supplies, shampoo,soap, a list of places u can visit. We had a very relaxing time and would definitely stay there again.“

„This is what I call getting away. My family had a great week from early morning hot tub soaks to family feuds over playing Uno and Monopoly! We only got one clear night in the star gazing field and the moon was a bit to bright but it was still beautiful. The property is clean and well stocked with just about everything you could need! We will definitely be back!“

„Communication and cleanliness was great. Neighborhood was quiet. Enjoyed Nan's Diner for breakfast, Rich Valley Wines for the evening, and Pizza Palace for a yummy quick meal. „Rental process was very easy and the property Manager responded to emails quickly to address any issues or concerns. The property was well equipped for a comfortable stay. During our stay, we saw bears, Bull Elk, fox, Skunk, several Deer, an Eagle, numerous other smaller animals, and enjoyed the sea of stars in the night sky. We visited the Austin Dam, an Amish Auction and the Stevenson Dam. Thank again!“

„Barr Top Lodge was the perfect place for our family of 7 to stay. The amenities were exactly what we needed for a relaxing weekend. The kids sure did enjoy the pool table. I was slightly disappointed with the cleanliness, but i know that can be difficult being in the woods.“

I did not answer the question regarding the property manager as we did not speak or meet with him, nor was there any reason to do so. The conversation with the property owner answered all our questions, and resolved the misunderstanding completely.
