„Es war ein tolles Erlebnis, einmal in einer Jurte zu wohnen. In der Nacht im Bett den Sternenhimmel zu sehen und träumen....super. Leider liegt diese Jurte sehr weit oben, nicht zentral, in der Nacht schwer zu finden. Das WC ist etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig, aber eben man gewöhnt sich daran. Es ist nicht wie zuhause. Das Bett ist sehr gut, super bequem. Man hat alles was man braucht.“

„Die Lage ist perfekt um den wirklich schönen Volcano National Park zu erkunden. Es ist absolut ruhig gelegen und deutlich kühler als an der Küste. Es ist ein super Ort um herunter zu fahren. Zum nächsten größeren Supermarkt fährt man ca. 30 Minuten. Die Unterkunft war sauber und sehr gut ausgestattet (besonders auch die Küche). Für Kleinkinder/Babys gibt es einen Hochstuhl und ein Kinderbett sowie Spielsachen etc. Die Unterkunft können wir bedenkenlos weiterempfehlen.“

„I absolutely love this cottage in the village of Volcano. It's a perfect get-away. i have stayed here before (2023) and will hopefully stay here again. I was coming for our 30th wedding anniversary, and hoping that Kiluaea would oblige by giving us her 30th eruption episode, and SHE DID! It was spectacular.“

„We loved the Kamaka Cottage and had everything we needed. It was spacious, clean and comfortable, tucked away in a quiet, beautiful area. It's very convenient to Volcanoes National Park so it made our park day very easy.“

„The cottage was fantastic. Had all the amenities. It was in a quiet neighborhood, with a view of a golf course, but easy driving distance to the Volcanoes National Park and the town of Volcano. We were very busy seeing the various attractions of the island, such as waterfalls, the black sand beach and South Point, and hiking in the National Park. We wished we could have spent more time at the cottage. Highly recommend this property and would definitely stay here again. “

„This is our second time to stay here. We loved it, and came back because it was so quiet and comfortable, and such a beautiful place and view. The yurts are well equipped and clean. The elevation makes for comfortable cool, but not cold, nights. The central sky light is spectacular at night with so many stars. It is calm and quiet and beautiful with various flowers. The historic cabin is in a fantastic location in Volcano town right near the Kilauea Lodge with its fantastic restaurant and the Swap Meet at the community center, and a quick and easy drive to the best of Volcano National Park. „Super comfortable for a couple. Interaction with host was easy and prompt. Cottage was spotless, bed was very comfortable, bathroom was clean with fluffy white towels and useful supplies. The covered garden area was a peaceful space to relax in after a day in the park or on the golf course.“

„Having never stayed in a Yurt of grid i was Amazed at how nice it was. I followed the rule of laundry during the day and had no issues. I titled this country because of the chickens and dogs, if you want a quite nights rest this isn't for you. If you are used to dogs barking and roasters crowingfrom 3am on then you'll be fine.
