„Set in a beautiful village this accomodation stands out withbits exterior decor. Parking is a short walk away and not onsite but this isnt gar and not a problem. We were greeted by a wonderful ladybwhonwas full of smiles, verybfriendly and appeared tonreally enjoy her job. She showed us to our room and left us to unpack. „We had a really lovely stay. The food was very nice. There is so much to do at the Woolpack. They have lots of games such as darts and pool. It is incredibly homely. We visited in the winter and we were made very welcome. “

„Wonderfully charming quaint b&b. Greeted on arrival by the very welcoming host who immediately set the fire away and brought me cake and biscuits, she was very helpful and informative regarding local walks. The property and grounds are superbly maintained and it was so peaceful watching the chickens roaming freely from my bedroom window and listening to the birds.“

Lorraine is such a wonderful host, always helping with any information we need and goes out of her way to help me with storing my luggage before checkin and after checkout.The location is fantastic, just next to the Town centre and bus stops. The street is well-lit and safe to roam even when dark. The room is super cosy and the bedding is clean and so comfortable that my kids would love sleep-in instead of going out and about. „It was clean and well presented, the owners were very friendly and helpful, the room was warm and comfortable. The bathroom was clean, fairly spacious with a most excellent shower. We missed breakfast the first morning due to taking part in an event, but found they had left us some bananas and apples for us. We had the full breakfast the next day which was spot on. And they have their own parking spots for 4 cars! Definitely will use again , as we had a lovely stay. “

„Matt was very helpful and has a lot of good suggestions for things to do in the Lakes District. Location is excellent and you can walk to town in a few minutes, which has a wide range of shopping and dining. The nearby foreshore is beautiful. The only thing that wasn't quite as expected was the parking, which was challenging to find and on occasion, took a lot of time to find something within a hundred yards or less. „We thought the hosts were really lovely and the location of the guesthouse was ideal for us for walking. There are two pubs within walking distance which serve fantastic food: Coledale inn and Royal Oak. However, we had a downstairs room and seemed to have been really unlucky with the guests upstairs who woke us up every hour during the night. Thankfully, we were only staying a couple of nights as we were absolutely exhausted by the end. Would recommend a stay, just maybe ask for an upstairs ...

„We had a wonderful stay. Our room was small but very comfortable with views of the hills. The tea and coffee choices are the best I've ever seen anywhere. Lorna is a lovely host and makes the best breakfast with plenty of choices. The location is approx. 15 minutes walk into Keswick and the Threkeld trail, just down the hill, make walking there better away from the traffic. We would definitely recommend Brookfield and hope to vist again. “

„Maple Bank is a gem of a place. Super location literally 100 yards from a bus stop, which has an hourly bus right through to midnight, with a £2 fare cap! We chose to walk in to Keswick one morning which took about 50 minutes. Check-in was great and informative, outlining options for breakfast for vegetarian & vegan choices. "Haben einen der 5 Parkplätze direkt am Haus (kostenlos) erhalten; bei Traumwetter (Sonne) im hauseigenen Biergarten auf den Check-In gewartet; Zimmer No 4 übertraf unsere Erwartungen und auch die Jaccuzi-Badewanne funktionierte. Ausgesprochen freundlicher Service, Sektkühler mit Eis für Getränke auf dem Zimmer erhalten und alles mit einem Lächeln. Sehr schön!"

"Außenanlagen, äußeres Erscheinungsbild sehr gepflegt, sehr schönes, viktorianischesGebäude. Fenster nur minimal zu öffnen, Aussicht auf Mülltonnen, Badezimmer renovierungsbedürftig. Abendessen, 3- Gang- Menu akzeptabel, aber Preis- Leistungs - Verhältnis stimmt nicht. Die oben angeführten Kritikpunkte werden wahrscheinlich relativiert bei schönem Wetter durch die landschaftlich herrliche Umgebung und die damit verbundenen vielfältigen Freizeitmöglichkeiten Wir hatten bei unserem Aufenthalt im August leider das Pech wegen des extrem schlechten Wetters - ca 14 Grad, Regen und starkem Wind- praktisch nichts im Freien unternehmen zu können. "
