„Our second year visiting. Wonderful husband and wife team who cook and serve us breakfast and I imagine do all the cleaning. I do not know who owns or manages this hotel, but perhaps it is time for the owner to look at certain things in the bedroom (bathroom blind, vanity stool) to be refreshed, and some repainting. The sunroom at the front of the hotel seems to be used as a storage unit which is a great waste of a nice sitting spot. The breakfasts are excellent again due to the husband ...

„Brathay Lodge makes for a very comfortable and convenient stay in the Lake District. The room was modern and well-maintained and the staff friendly and considerate. There is a parking fee (unless booked direct) but you’d have to pay elsewhere anyway. If you have an electric car it’s a good idea to let them know in advance so you can use their reasonably-priced ProjectEV charger. The continental breakfast was fresh and varied and set us up for the day. Would definitely stay there again. “
