„We had a fantastic stay at The Family Tree. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was lovely, clean and quiet. And the breakfast was amazing! Just a few minutes’ drive from the Tramway Museum, or a lovely 40-minute walk along the canal to the Hurt Arms in Ambergate. In the end, we were sorry that we were only staying the one night; wish we could have stayed longer. We will absolutely stay here again the next time we’re in Derbyshire!“

„Das Hotel ist etwas ausserhalb des Ortes, nicht auf anhieb zu finden, liegt etwas zurück gesetzt an der Straße nach Buxton. Wir hatten ein ausreichend großes Zweibettzimmer, dass Bad war überraschend groß. in einem der Betten war die Matratze durchgelegen, das zweite Bett war in Ordnung. Es gab einen Wasserkocher, sowie Tee und Kaffee auf dem Zimmer. Wlan hat einandfrei funktioniert, allerdings hatten wir im Haus keinen Handyempfang, was aber nicht schlimm war. Das englische Frühstück war gut ...

„A very special place to stay as this was the family home of Florence Nightingale. We stayed in two bedrooms which were the rooms that she grew up in before she went to Crimea. This is not a hotel. It’s more of a guest house with a few of the rooms rented out on a nightly basis. The property is accessed through several gates so it’s on very private land. The views are amazing of the local countryside and there’s a very beautiful garden around the house and sheep in the fields a little further ...

„3 night stay over Easter. Pub was clean and comfortable although bed mattress was very firm which meant disturbed sleep for stay. Owners very welcoming. Breakfast was 8-9am which I felt was a little early as we usually like to have a lazy wake up without having to have alarm on so wasnt as relaxing as we would have liked. Breakfast was good but simple so would not have wanted to stay any longer. 1 or 2 nights at the most. No fruit or alternatives and not asked if we preferred eggs cooked ...

„Rooms were very clean and they were always well stocked with plenty coffee, tea hot chocolate and fresh milk. Breakfast was amazing with good choice of cereals with all hot food freshly cooked. Free home made cakes were also available later in the day, which was a nice touch.“

„Eine angenehme Unterkunft für ein paar Tage zwecks Besuch von Nottingham. Renoviertes Zimmer, alles sehr sauber. Das Bad müsste unbedingt renoviert werden: mehrere Wasserflecken, Schmutz an den Rohren, uraltes Silikon, alter Bodenbelag, ursprünglich weiße Fugen sind schwarz - aber kein Schimmel. Badewanne hatte mal eine Duschtür - die war wohl kaputt und durch einen Duschvorhang ersetzt. Personal nett und aufgeschlossen. Sehr gutes Essen zu angemessenen Preisen. Frühstück wird nach Wunsch ...
