Disclaimer: We were unable to make our scheduled trip due to a last-minute change in plans, so this review is not about the cabin itself, which we did not visit. Instead, it reflects our experience with the booking management.We booked the cabin on October 9th for a stay from October 16th to 19th. On October 13th, we sent a message through the VBRO app notifying the host that we would not be able to make the trip. We fully understood that a refund might not be likely, but we hoped to inquire about a potential partial refund—perhaps for the cleaning or pet fees—or even a credit toward a future stay.Unfortunately, we never received a response to that message. After that, we continued to receive automated emails about our upcoming stay, including check-in details and even a notice about a broken washing machine. I replied to that email to reiterate that we would not be attending and had already sent a message through the app. Again, no response.It felt as though our communications were either overlooked or not monitored, which was disappointing. We have used VRBO many times over the years and have always had responsive and helpful interactions with hosts. This experience was not typical of what we have come to expect.We wanted to share this feedback in hopes it helps improve communication for future guests. Ironically, we did receive a follow-up email asking us to rate our stay, which prompted us to write this review.Thank you.
