„I stayed here for one night during a visit to the Jamestown area. There is a free car ferry from Jamestown across the James River to Surrey, which is very close to the hotel. The rooms are really nice with great views of the river and the sunset. The price was very reasonable. Be aware that there is no breakfast and no real place to go get breakfast so bring your own food. There is a refrigerator and coffee maker with coffee. Comfortable cottage with three beds (two bedrooms) and one bathroom, plus view of a picturesque pastoral scene: a field of green grass, white fence, a friendly dog who politely asks to play ball if you like (and leaves you alone if you don’t), and the occasional mooing of the cows in the distance.
