„THE COUNTRY HOUSE IS SUPERB WITH SO MUCH CHARACTER AND GORGEOUS GARDENS. THE STAFF IS VERY FRIENDLY AND THE ROOM GOOD. IT WAS A VERY PLEASANT STAY. ONLY NEGATIVE IS THAT WE COULD NOT SIT AT AN EMPTY TABLE LOOKING AT THE VIEW FOR BREAKFAST, BECAUSE THE STAFF HAD ALREADY LAID THE TABLE FOR LUNCH. SHOULD WAIT TILL ALL GUESTS HAVE COME AND LEFT AFTER BREAKFAST LIKE IN OTHER HOTELS.“

„Beautiful place, nice staff. We loved the large pool, hot tub, and sauna. Very decent hot break-fast in the morning and our room was large and comfortable. Only thing that would have been nice is to have a bar fridge in our room. The intended space was there for it, but it wasn’t there. “

Very quite despite being very busy, great views of the lake and great location. Windermere Lake Cruises almost on the door step for getting out and about . Plenty of choice for breakfast and very good.“

„We had a great 6 day stay at the Damson Dene. All the staff are super friendly. Had a couple of SPA treatments with Sharon, they were amazing and so reasonable priced. The food in the hotel was superb. The breakfast was plentiful and the evening meals were delicious. The only issue we had was with housekeeping. No toothpaste, showercaps or essentials which you get in average hotels now days. No stocked mini fridge.. sauna was not even hot enough even after hour.
