Our experience staying in room 22 was pretty disappointing. It seems that every other room has a secure lock on the door, while the key for room 22 had two teeth. When you're traveling with very important possessions, its an uneasy feeling leaving you belongings in a room with such little security. I understand that it is a historic hotel, but the consistency between the rooms you provide is inadequate. Room 22 also has a very noticeable pitch to the floor, which in turn makes the bed in the room difficult to sleep on. Again, I understand that it is an older hotel, but this made the experience bad. I would recommend that the hotel at least put some blocks under the headboard to level out the bed so you're guests' feet arent higher than their head while they're trying to sleep. I was traveling with family who also requested the Superior Double Room, and the differences between the two rooms that I saw couldn't go unnoticed.
The hotel bar staff need further training. When I order a cocktail off the bar's own menu, I should not receive two different variations of that same cocktail. Especially at the prices that you have these cocktails listed for. Half of the folks behind the counter seemed to be learning how to make drinks for the first time - flipping through a recipe book to quickly teach themselves how to make specific drinks. Just seemed very unprofessional.
