„This was my second time at El Colonial. As the first time, it was great. Staff are fantastic and so friendly and helpful. I always feel very welcome. Sadly I always just stay one night. But it is definitely worth to make my way here from the airport. Hotel is in the midst of old San Juan and lots of restaurants and bars are just a short walk away. Very nice roof terrace for some drinks or just some peace and quiet. I will certainly stay again.“

„Lovely hotel in old San Juan. Perfect to discover this lovely city. The hotel is modern but kept enough of its original features. There is an interior courtyard with plants and water feature. There are some rooms on this floor. Other rooms are upstairs. There is a terrace with views over town and a bar. My room was super clean and perfect for my one night stay. “

„The staff were very hospitable. This is a unique and authentic Viejo San Juan property. I arrived after midnight on a Thursday after a long cab ride from the airport. There was a party in the streets which slowed my taxis progress. Promptly at 1 or 2 am everything became quiet and I slept soundly in the cozy loft apartment. „Kein Stuhl im Zimmer. Vergrgrößerungsspiegel im Bad ohne Stromanschluss. Gehört an die Wand, nicht auf den Waschtisch. Leider typisch amerikanisches Bettzeug. Kein Cover für Federbett , sondern nur einzelne Laken! Jeden Tag Chaos im Bett, außer man bewegt sich überhaupt nicht. Matratzen sehr gut.“

„Die Lage war super. Man könnte fußläufig das gesamte Gebiet Old San Juan erkunden. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Lediglich die Sauberkeit lässt wirklich sehr zu wünschen übrig. Flecken auf dem gesamten Bett und auf Handtüchern. Löcher in Handtüchern und ein lockerer Klodeckel. Auch muss einem bewusst sein, dass das Bad sehr klein ist und man sich in der Dusche nicht mal drehen kann. “

„Hotel in the center, on the main street. Location sensational. Only at night very noisy, because you can hear everything. The hotel is old and dirty.
