Enjoy the best of Florida in this charming historic home just a short walk from the Heitman House, the Burroughs Home and downtown Fort Myers. The cottage takes its cues from the Hemingway House in Key West. You'll find original hardwood floors and art from around the world. This bungalow sits on a third of an acre with a lush tropical yard for you to enjoy!

The space
This cottage has been lovingly restored. Like many older homes, it comes with the joys and quirks of a historic home. Some quirks we'd like to share with you:

* The master bedroom has a king size bed with an ensuite half bath. The second bedroom has a king size bed but no bathroom attached.

* The main bathroom with the shower is in a central location. It opens into the great room, beside the kitchen.

* The house has its original heart pine floors, which have been thoughtfully cared for over the years. They are lovely but imperfect.

* There is a single TV in the cottage, and it sits in the living room. It is a smart TV streaming Netflix, Amazon, Hulu and others.
Guest access
The driveway beside the house fits two cars. Free on-street parking is also available.
Other things to note
This home is avaialable for month-to-month rentals. Please contact us for availability.

We do ask our guests understand that this home is nearly 100 years old. As such, she's crooked and creaks. If such things will be bothersome to you, we can recommend you to some more modern lodging that may be more to your taste. This is a non-smoking property.

We are unable to guarantee early check-in (check-in before 3pm) until the day of check-in. Likewise, we are unable to guarantee late check-out (check-out after 11am) until the day of check-out. If you will require early check-in (check-in before 11am), we ask that you book the night before your arrival to ensure the property is available to you. If you will require late check-out (check-out after 3pm), we request that you also book the night of your departure day.
