„Exactly what we wanted, a place with a great view and a lot of peace and quiet. Definitely awd required and recommend some extra ground clearance. Our awd VW made the climb no problem but at the bottom of the drive when you start the serious climb my wife would spot to make sure we didn’t drag the front or get high centered. 440’ of climb in .5 miles, we enjoyed walking every day seeing deer and rabbits and raccoon. We even saw a black bear on the gravel road in the valley. “

Their service was amazing, everyone was friendly, helpful, and when I had questions and asked via email, they were quick to respond.“

„We had a wonderful experience here. Although we never met the hosts, we felt their hospitality met us at the door with a warm welcoming of cookies in the greeting basket! My husband and I talked about that homey touch all evening. This home is decorated very simply, yet beautiful. „We really enjoyed our stay at Rushing Bear. The gated porch and side yard were perfect for our dog to be with us. The cabin is very clean and accommodating. „We enjoyed our stay, the place was extremely close to the shops and amenities downtown maggie valley and about a 15-20 min drive to Cherokee. The host was very quick at responding and was accommodating, they allowed us to check in a little bit early so we could unload the motorcycles to ride. „First off, this cabin was spotless and very comfortable. Second, two driveways and an easy drive in from the main road make this cabin easy to access. I stayed here with a heavy duty truck, 16’ tandem axel trailer and 1 motorcycle and had no issues with parking the truck/trailer and motorcycle. The driveways could accommodate a longer trailer if needed with no issues. 10/10 would stay here again and make the trip back from Florida. Only thing I would change would be the addition of a dishwasher. ...
