„Wir hatten 3 sehr schöne Tage im Acorn. Es ist sehr anspruchsvoll eingerichtet. Nachts ist es sehr ruhig, obwohl es an einer Straße liegt. Chris u Tanja sind sehr freundlich u ermöglichen Sonderwünsche, zB ein Zustellbett, da wir uns einfach nicht an die englischen durchgehenden Matrazen in den Doppelbetten gewöhnen können. Es gibt kurze Wanderungen in Castleton u natürlich längere herrliche übers Land. Total schön!“

Its beautifully quirkly decorated, pet and family friendly, very clean and has everything and more you would need for a lovely stay in Matlock. Makes for an ideal centre location to explore th Peak District. Would definitly return and recommend to other people.“

Hot tub was a huge hit. Great location, stones throw away from the town centre. Query was resolved promptly through messages with owner. We were all very happy with our stay. „If you are looking for the perfect stay stop looking ! After driving up from London to explore the Peak District we were delighted to arrive at a very new, designer appointed lovely home ! Sitting at night and watching the birds on the canal was so peaceful and relaxing. While being close enough to Lyme Park and Lyme House - (Jane Austen would approve) and Chatsworth etc the truly grand homes we shopped and cooked as there was everything we needed to stay in and enjoy our stay. „Lovely home for large families, plenty of space both inside and out with a scenic view. The kitchen is stocked well with utensils, pans and plates with several dishwasher tablets (usually only come with 1!) we needed to use it each day. Easy to find and instructions were straight forward. Space for 5 cars on the driveway if you are good at manoeuvring. “
