„WISH WE HADN’T!!! . No lights at all working on communal stairs so pitch black up to top floor apartment apartment. Stuff from other flats left on stairs so added to trip hazard. Kitchen poorly equipped , we had to go and buy something to cook in , no bread board , peeler etc. oven was disgusting, oily and old burnt food left in it . communication on location and flat number very poor so we ended up knocking on other people’s doors until we got a call from Vrbo finally . „Das Appartment ist sehr geräumig und bietet mit der voll ausgestatteten Küche die perfekte Basis um zur Erkundung der Gegend aufzubrechen. Alles war sehr gepflegt und sauber. Der Außenbereich ist fantastisch und hat den typisch britischen Cottage-Flair. Wir haben uns bei der Anreise leider etwas verirrt weshalb wir deutlich später als besprochen eintrafen. Der Vermieter war sehr verständnisvoll und hilfsbereit. Eine absolut empfehlenswerte Location.“

„The cottage is in a great location, only a 2 minute walk into the town. The hot tub was lovely and private. All rooms were clean and tidy, with enough room for 3 couples. It’s very dog friendly, and highly recommend for anyone who is looking to stay in Bakewell! “

„Elegant building, excellent central location, peaceful surroundings, nice views, comfortable bed. One kitchen cupboard was so high that we couldn't reach any small glasses or the cafetiere - had to make do without - even using the steps provided (and we are of average height). Cleaners brought stained towel at changeover day, and left long hairs on our bed when they changed the bedding. But in spite of this we enjoyed our stay.“

Once we had arrived they also checked in on us to make sure everything was okay which made us feel really welcome. Communication was smooth and quick. „Great little apartment in a perfect central location. It was modern, spotlessly clean, and had everything we needed for a comfortable few days in Matlock. Would happily stay again. Not necessarily improvements, just points for future guests to note – as it’s so centrally located, you can hear some road traffic and noise from a nearby karaoke bar, especially in the evenings. The apartment can also get quite warm, but fans are provided which do help.“
