„We had a minor problem with our room, and Jorge upgraded us to the suite on the second floor. The rooms are very clean very well appointed. Also, Jorge is very responsive to your text messages. The only negative we could come up with was it can be a little noisy due to street traffic and locals. we would highly recommend it and we would stay here again.“

„This was my second time at El Colonial. As the first time, it was great. Staff are fantastic and so friendly and helpful. I always feel very welcome. Sadly I always just stay one night. But it is definitely worth to make my way here from the airport. Hotel is in the midst of old San Juan and lots of restaurants and bars are just a short walk away. Very nice roof terrace for some drinks or just some peace and quiet. I will certainly stay again.“

The only negatives were that the AC in our room did not work very well (It kept turning off in the middle of the night) and there was a wedding reception on the 2nd floor that was so loud that we could hear the music all night long on the 5th floor.
