The best location in Half Moon Bay, combined with direct beach access out the back door for perfect snorkeling and lounging make this 2/2 a perfect hideaway for downtime. Add in the most stunning (and largest) pool in Akumal, beautiful gardens that attract local wildlife, and dedicated staff, you won't want to leave.
Located in the gorgeous La Sirena complex, the spacious ground floor 2 bedroom Lauritamar is directly on Half Moon Bay with incredible ocean views with floor to ceiling front windows providing great views of the bay with snorkeling right out your back door.
Artistry abounds with classic Mexican talavera tile craftsmanship, stunning hand painted murals on both the walls of the master bedroom and on the patio, unique hand painted and sculpted internal stair steps, and fascinating handcrafted painted mermaid tile collages. It's all incredible!
For your comfort, the condo is well equipped with a Mexican kitchen containing modern appliances and all the counter space you need to prepare that fresh caught Mahi! There is plenty of comfortable seating in the dining area and a pass through window over the kitchen sink makes serving your guests delicious snacks or drinks on the screened in porch simple and fun!
For seating and entertaining, enjoy with the screened porch and/or the living room both with comfortable seating. And of course, the living area has a great entertainment system: a large SMART TV, Blue Ray player, Netflix and sound system! The high speed internet connection via fiber optic cable makes it easy to work or for gaming.
Like the main living area, the bedrooms are each special in their own way. The master has a full sized king bed with a beautiful mural headboard by Richard Mazolla and is a quiet relaxing retreat. It has a large picture window for beach viewing that can be closed off with custom wood shutters. The master also has its own on-suite bathroom.
Off the short hall is a 2nd bathroom convenient for guests and the 2nd bedroom. The 2nd bedroom also has a comfortable king bed. And of course, we have great American bed and bath linens as well as beach towels.
Beautifully maintained and located on one of the more private beaches in Akumal. Sit on your private beachside patio or take a dip in Akumal's largest pool that includes a lap lane surrounded by beautiful tropical gardens.
Akumal is sixty miles south of Cancun International Airport, south on the four lane, newly renovated highway 307. Half Moon Bay (HMB), we are located, is considered the 'original' Akumal, along with Akumal Bay. Akumal means place of the turtle in Maya, as this area truely is!
HMB, now called 'North Akumal' is where most of the beach front houses and small condo complexes are; and is a designated ecological zone, therefore it is very low density. While you are close to everything; it is very private and quieter.
North Akumal is also the home of the famous Yal-Ku lagoon, and we are the closest complex to it: just a 3 minute walk! We are a quiet, laid-back area focused on our beautiful bay and beaches, snorkeling and pristine diving. Close by are Mayan ruins, golf, nature parks, cenotes, even active nightlife. Akumal is a protected reef area and water shoes are a MUST to enjoy the water.
