We recently stayed for 4 nights in a suite at The Dean Cork. The hotel still has a lot going for it: it's stylish, vibrant and in a great location within easy walking distance of the city centre. The suite was spacious and comfortable, making it a pleasant base for exploring Cork. Unfortunately, the stay was let down by housekeeping and maintenance. The most obvious issue was a large, highly visible stain on the sofa that should never have been left for arriving guests. The shower also drained very slowly, leaving water pooling around your feet. Housekeeping seemed inconsistent throughout our stay. Towels were not always replaced, although reception promptly resolved this when we called. Similarly, we had to request clean coffee mugs every day instead of them being refreshed as part of the room service. What struck us most was not a lack of willingness from the staff—they were always friendly and quick to help—but rather the impression that the housekeeping team is simply understaffed and unable to keep up with the workload. With better resourcing and attention to detail, this hotel could easily live up to its potential. As it stands, it's a good hotel that falls short on the basics.

Tolles Hotel, sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal, sehr gutes Essen, sowohl Frühstück als auch in der Bar, und ein hervorragender Spa-Bereich.

This is a fantastic place to stay! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome. The concierge was particularly excellent, providing us with invaluable tips that made our trip unforgettable. The restaurants were also outstanding, offering delicious food and a wonderful dining experience. A truly exceptional stay!

Everything about Castlemartyr was great. It quickly became our favourite hotel experience in Ireland. From the Terre restaurant onsite, to the amenities and of course the staff. A special shoutout to Luc and Lars who were both very helpful at many points during our stay.
