I have given this property a 1 star review because when we arrived at the property there were no towels. We were not notified beforehand and only discovered the lack of towels via a letter that was at the property upon arrival. It stated that we had to pre-book towels for an extra charge per person and they were subject to availability. It was stressful. This may sound trivial, but it really isn't - towels are pretty essential. The property is in the country, miles from any shops and we arrived at night. The letter also stated that we needed to pay extra for electricity. Again we were not notified beforehand. I tried to contact the managers but they didn't answer their phones. When one of the managers knocked on the door later in the evening he was surly and unfriendly. He said that I should have known to bring my own towels and that I needed to take it up with the property owner. I found the reservation information on Hotels.com which clearly stated that towels were included and didn't mention payment for electricity. I later received an email from the owner saying that I should have known. It really spoiled the trip. I left a day early and booked to stay somewhere else instead. The dishwasher didn’t work. No basics were provided, e.g. tea, coffee, sugar. The setting is beautiful and I'm sure it would be fine if you take your own towels and expect to pay extra for electricity.

Wonderful visit. Stephanie was warm and welcoming. The room was beautiful and the bed very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and set us up for the day. We felt very pampered. Highly recommend.

Das Zimmer war nicht schön und das Haus etwas heruntergekommen..

Location is very good, walking distance to the city centre yet quiet area facing to the bay( river …?) so the view from the window was magnificent. Staff was very very friendly and they responded quickly to our request ( two single beds from one double) . Breakfast was excellent. Cafe /bar/ restaurant area was bright and cheerful, that gave me immediately a good holiday vibe.

Nettes kleines Hotel “am Ende der Welt”, sehr ruhig, freundliches Personal, hervorragendes Frühstück. Abendessen ebenfalls sehr gut, Portionen überschaubar. Die Klassifizierung als 5-Stern-Hotel ist keinesfalls gerechtfertigt. Ehrliche Einschätzung ….. 3,5 Sterne. Zimmer sind sehr klein, die versprochene Aussicht in den Hafen ….. siehe Fotos.
