I had a wonderful stay at The Michelangelo Hotel New York! While the hotel has an older charm, the room space was exceptional—plenty of room to spread out and relax, which I really appreciated. The staff truly made the experience memorable, from the friendly bell service to attentive housekeeping, and especially June at the front desk. They were all personable and went above and beyond to ensure a comfortable stay. The hotel is lucky to have such a fantastic team! The location is unbeatable for exploring Midtown Manhattan. Times Square and other major attractions are just steps away, making it super convenient for sightseeing. If you don’t mind not having a view, it’s a great choice. I’d also recommend requesting a room near the elevator, as the layout can be a bit of a maze otherwise. Overall, a fantastic option for those looking for spacious rooms and top-notch service in the heart of NYC!

Budget hotel, but excellent value for money. I stayed over a very busy Memorial Day weekend, when hotel prices in New York usually spike, and the price-performance ratio was very good. The cabin was small, as expected, but very clean, quiet, and comfortable. I had requested a quiet room in advance, and this was taken into account. Amenities were good, the staff was very friendly, and I liked the overall vibe of the hotel. Overall, a practical, clean, and well-run place to stay in New York if you are fine with compact rooms. I would stay there again. (Cannot say much about breakfast, took the option without.)

We spent 8 days at Sofitel, in a room on the 15th floor. The room was nice, a bit worn down but comfortable. You could hear a bit of noise from the airco units a few floors below. Our booking via Expedia was actually cheaper than the hotel website and included a nice breakfast. The location is great, lots of sights can be reached on foot. A bit annoying is a daily resort fee of 35 dollars for basically zero added value
