We went with the Family for a week in order to celebrate a birthday. The hotel is beautifully located. We had reserved two rooms with Sea view. That was definitely a good decision. The view was fantastic. The service was always friendly and accommodating. The room was comfortable and clean but nothing special in view of the five star category and the price. The breakfast had a reasonable choice of good quality food and friendly service as well. Overall, again, average for this hotel category. So, this could have been a great experience that could be recommended However, one should consider carefully before making a firm reservation. We reserved two rooms for a week, non modifiable, not refundable in case of cancellation. Unfortunately, we had to chance our travel plans due to personal reasons four weeks prior to check in. We asked the Hotel (twice) if they would be able to make an exception and cancel and refund the rate for one of the two rooms. The request was declined two times with a one-liner comment. Finally we managed to change our plans and use the second room for at least three nights. Not six nights as originally booked. We paid in full for six nights. I have to admit that, legally speaking, we had to accept. That’s how we reserved. However, it was frustrating to see that they showed no flexibility nor courtesy. In particular as we informed them four weeks in advance. A first-time experience for me as frequent traveler.
