We stayed for five nights in one of the apartments in the main Residence Superior Del Mar complex, separate from the hotel itself. One of the biggest positives was the smaller pool, which was right outside our villa. It was a good size, much quieter than the main pool, and made for a really relaxing place to spend time. The villa itself was comfortable but could definitely do with some attention. Our shower flooded regularly, the front door became difficult to open and close during our stay, and there were a few areas where the walls were chipped or damaged. The bedding was also frustrating, as the sheets wouldn’t stay on the bed, so we often ended up sleeping directly on the mattress. The kitchen was reasonably well equipped, but we were surprised there was no oven, which would have made self-catering much easier. The location is excellent, with two beaches within easy walking distance. Just be aware that there were jellyfish around during our visit, so it’s worth checking conditions before heading into the sea. We visited the main hotel pool once, but it wasn’t really for us. It was very busy with families and young children, and the organised aqua fitness sessions with loud music made it feel quite hectic. We much preferred the quieter pool by our apartment. Overall, we enjoyed our stay thanks to the location and the peaceful smaller pool, but there are a number of maintenance issues and missing facilities that mean there’s definitely room for improvement

Das Personal ist äußerst freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Frühstück ist umfangreich. Wir werden wieder kommen!

Die Unterkunft ist nur zu Fuß erreichbar. Der Parkplatz für die Autos ist ca. 5 Minuten entfernt. Man muss mit Gepäck zum Hotel laufen. Für ältere Menschen etwas anstrengender. Die Mitarbeiterin Monika war sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Leider hat in unserem Zimmer das warme Wasser nicht funktioniert. Für ein 4 Sterne Hotel in dem eine Übernachtung pro Tag mehr als 200€ kostet, kann man schon warmes Wasser erwarten. Das Zimmer war sauber.

As always, it’s a pleasure to stay in Grado. Everything was very nice, but my kids found the beds rather uncomfortable — they were too hard. looking forward to coming back soon.
