Einer der schönsten Unterkünfte auf Boracay !! War schon in einigen aber Uptown war mit Abstand das Beste !! Super freundliches Personal immer hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend !! Man ist direkt an der DMall (Einkaufsstraße von Boracay) und natürlich direkt am Strand & am Abend kriegt man sogar 2x eine mega Show (Feuershow) geboten als kann es jedem nur weiterempfehlen - werd es aufjedenfall wieder buchen !!

The Astoria Current is for sure a good Hotel, but not excellent. There are too many, maybe minor details which should be improved. No cabinet for cloth is not an option when you stay for a week. Two Queen size beds is un necessary for two people. The second bed even blocks the door and the light switch to the CR. A second chair and a table to sit would make much more sense instead. The air ventilation does not work. Cloth became damp. The room was equipped with kettle, microwave and sink, but no plates, cuttlery or a bowl.

The hotel itself has definite strengths, but also some noticeable weaknesses. It’s very new, clean, and the rooms are truly a highlight: spacious, modern, and impeccably maintained. The breakfast was also very good and exceeded our expectations. However, there is one major downside – the beach directly in front of the hotel. It was dirty and far from inviting, which we didn’t know beforehand. This is a stark contrast to the White Beach on the opposite side, which is absolutely beautiful. But it means you have to walk about 15 minutes each time to enjoy the nicer beach. While this was manageable for us, it would be great if the hotel could work on improving and maintaining the beachfront in the future. Another point we noticed: While the rooms were fantastic, the rest of the hotel felt somewhat uninspired in terms of design. The decor was entirely white, which is modern but felt sterile and lacked any warmth or personality. It gave us the impression that the hotel was just “placed there,” as others have commented – an Ibiza-style aesthetic, but without charm. Other hotels often manage to create more atmosphere and attention to detail. That said, if you’re looking for a clean, modern hotel and don’t mind walking a bit for a better beach, this is still a good choice.
