I would deduct 1 Star for the food, but the overall experience was great so I won't. The Room was perfect, the service outstanding. The Hotel in really good condition. The beach fantastic. We were worried at first, because most positive reviews came from americans, but this hotel can absolutely live up to european standards. The food is difficult. The decision from the hotel not to have a buffet is terrible. The Dinner Restaurants all served really not tasty food. The food experience from all dinner restaurants was bad, so we tried to use the afternoon kitchens which were great and the Room Service, which delivered fantastic food. The Tex Mex Buffet on Thursdays and the breakfast was really good as well. So as I said, usually this could make a bad experience, if you are not flexible, but the hotel was fantastic. The hotel wasn't fully booked oput, so we never had a problem getting a sunbed at the beach, but I can understand, that people are mad, that two thirds of all potential beach space is taken by cabanas that the hotel sells for $85 a day on top. This is a crazy rip off. Agin, we were not affected by this, so no star deduction. In high season this would probably something that we were furious about as well.

Alles war sehr gut im Fairmont Mayakoba. Die Lage in den Mangroven einzigartig. Unser Casita Zimmer war sehr geräumig und renoviert. Bequeme große Betten. Ein schönes und großes Badezimmer. Die Restaurants sind Klasse, insbesondere das Tauro, La Laguna und El Fuego. Die Pools sind sehr groß und der neue Infinity Pool am Strand einfach super. Auch der Strand ist breit und schön. Die Liegen sind sehr bequem und unter den großen Palmenschirmen finden 4 Liegen Platz. Zu jeder Zeit findet man Liegen. Auch der Service an den Pools, Strand und den Restaurants ist sehr gut. Super Hotel sehr zu empfehlen.
