„Had a one night stay following a trip to Hobbiton movie set. Stayed in chalet Frodo which is only a 10-15 min drive from Hobbiton.The chalet is very clean and well appointed. While quite compact it had everything the two of us required for an overnight stay. We had dinner at Osteria restaurant in the main centre which is only a 3 min drive away. Thoroughly recommend Osteria for quality of food, portion size , atmosphere and price“

„Very nice accommodation and host“

„The property was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for our 4 day stay. It was also quiet, apart fro the trucks on the main road, but this was expected. We were within a short walking distance into the main town area which was very handy for restaurants. It was a great central place to stay. Wed definitely stay again if we return to Matamata. “

„The home was lovely, easy and comfortable, beds were really comfortable, plenty of blankets and duvets. There was 5 of us from 13 - 87 years old, and we all loved the home and the location, it suited all of our needs. We cooked our most of our meals, kitchen was well equipped.The view from the deck is stunning, we were there for the opening of duck season, and while having coffee on the deck enjoying the scenery and the sun, we heard some shots way off in the distance. Excellent home away ...
