„Excellent ! I'm sure the door self-closers could be made to close softly. Some inconsiderate idiots were in the rooms next to us and couldn't be bothered to hold them until they closed. In the early hours when they were pissed up they were constantly opening and slamming doors and shouting. I barely slept after 2 in the morning.“

„Last minute booking, so not much time researching. Room was small but clean, tea and coffee making facilities. Shower was good and. Could not hear the live band that was playing, but had some noise off the street. Would have scored more but the staff were a bit rude when I asked for extra pots of milk. Good location, only on street parking. “

„Classy Hotel in an 18th Century Georgian architectural landmark which was saved by the Hotel Company. Went there first on a rushed business trip and went back half a year later to enjoy it finally with my partner. The pool is warm and not exactly for a sporty swimmer, but is nice with the opportunity to swim outdoors. Beds and Breakfast are excellent and up to the price. After finding the south of England more and more crowded, the Peak District is an area I was happy to discover.“

„Vorab, es war sauber. Jedoch kein Zimmerservice. WLAN kostet extra7€. Ebenso die angegebene Sauna und der Parkplatz. Die Fenster sind einfach verglast und beim Frühstück laufen zwei Durchlauf Toaster. Das tut schon fast weh was die Umwelt angeht. Die Einrichtung ist brauchbar jedoch nicht hochwertig.“

„The reception looks more like a helpdesk as many people passing by for the gym. The hotel spa is crowded as many locals use it. There was no space in the sauna. Breakfast does not have a big choice. Rooms are nice and comfy.“

„What the receptionist had in abundance regarding friendliness, was the midaged lady at breakfast lacking; I think friendliness can be expected also when a guest shows up 5 minutes before the official start of breakfast and takes himself some cereal.“

„Das Hotel müsste dringend überholt werden Badezimmer mit defekten Fliesen und schimmeligen Silikonfugen . Keine Klimatisierung möglich kein Kühlschrank oder Minibar im Zimmer. Keine Toilettenbürste vorhanden. Gesamtzustand des Hotels stark abgenutzt. Gardinen im Zimmer zerfetzt ( siehe Bilder)“

„Booked online very easily. Had to wait a long time to get the room as it wasn’t ready when we arrived (late afternoon!). Staff friendly, decent menu and food available. We desperately needed toothbrush and paste but the hotel was sold out. Bed was comfortable and decent bathroom although quite old. Overall a decent place to stay and reasonable price. “

"Tolles Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis, Einrichtung vollkommen in Ordnung (sogar mit Wasserkocher auf dem Zimmer), alles in allem empfehlenswert. Ein Föhn, eine WC-Bürste und ein öffnungsfähiges Fenster wären die einzigen Punkte, die ich mir noch wünschen würde."

"Angenehmes Hotel, fussläufig zum Flughafen. Optimal, wenn man einen frühen Flug hat. Zimmer sind ansprechend eingerichtet, leider etwas hellhörig und Türen nicht sehr dicht. Betten wie in England üblich sehr weich. "

"Nice hotel, big room, comfortable bed. The breakfast seems to have many fans, we found it… ok-ish. Took us 2 days to see that the breakfast also imcludes one extra item you can order (ignore the price printed on the menu). Location is good - would go there again."
