„Stayed here for a wedding in nearby Morpeth and was well impressed. The owner and her family were superb hosts, and nothing wax too much trouble. Breakfast superb, rooms clean and comfy, and 72 free parking round the back of the property make it a great base for a long weekend to explore the area. Would happily return!“

„Another lovely stay in this fabulous pub. Our double room was spotless. Well decorated and some nice little touches inc the well stocked tea/coffee tray. Great location and views to the rear from the beer garden are spectacular. Can’t wait to return soon. Staff so friendly and welcoming too. “

„It’s a lovely hotel and very convenient stop. The staff were super friendly and helpful. We only had breakfast but it was delicious and plenty of it. The decor was lovely but needed a bit of tidying and the vase on the table needed a clean. I’m not keen on fake flowers which gather dust and the winter sun shows the glass vase needing a polish. I’m being picky hoping I’m being helpful. It was a fab stay and I thoroughly recommend it and would stay again. “

„Again a nice stay. The accommodation is nothing very special and as most english hotels very old and has its minor issues, but still good for a short stay. Due to the old building and the location right in front of the train station it is quite loud, but fine if you know what you are up to. Pool is also nothing fancy but still nice. Staff is very friendly and professional.“

„ Nice hotel wonderfully situated near the river Tyne. Quite big and comfortable room with coffee/tea, nice bath, clean and plenty of space. But I would recommend to make sure you get sea side view! Nice staff and a god place to get good food for dinner (affordable!).“

„The oak tree inn was a good choice for a one night stay. The drinks were nice and the breakfast was excellent. Staff were friendly and attentive. The room was nice and clean. Tv remote was very slow and shower wasn't great. Bed was only a double and prefer king size but was fine for stop over stay“

"Eigentlich ein gutes Hotel. Gute Lage mit Parkplatz. Was uns störte war, dass man als Hotelgäste nicht bevorzugt in die Rooftop Bar konnte!! Ohne Reservierung, EINE!!! Stunde warten!!"

"On m’a d’abord attribué une chambre où le chauffage ne marchait pas. Il y avait déjà un petit chauffage d’appoint! J’ai dit que le chauffage ne fonctionnait pas, alors on m’a proposé rajouter d’autres petits chauffages. J’ai demandé à être changé de chambre! Mérite un meilleur service et un rafraîchissement, je m’attends clairement à une autre qualité de la part d’un hôtel d’une chaîne mariott bonvoy! "

"Das Hotel ist sehr alt und hat daher alle altersbedingte Probleme: quietschende Fussböden, Lärm von der Strasse, unvernünftig eingerichtete Zimmer und Basezimmer. Z.B. im Eingangsbereich genug Platz, aber keine Einrichtungen für Kleiderbügel oder Hocker. Der Wasserhahn ist so kurz, dass man nicht beide Hände komplett darunter waschen kann. Mein erstes Zimmer hat ganze Zeit ein komisches Geräusch, so dass ich das Zimmer wechseln muss. Die überwiegende Servicepersonen sind aber sehr nett und hilfsbereit bis auf einen als ich eincheckte. Ich war über Wochenende und Halloween da - das war vielleicht der Grund, dass der Zimmerpreis so hoch war. Es hätte höchstens halb so viel kosten sollen. "
