Nestled in the serene mountainside, The Toasted Marshmallow is a charming 2-bedroom, 1-bath cabin that offers a peaceful escape with all the comforts of home. Whether you're here to unwind or explore, this newer cabin is the perfect base for your next getaway!

Before you pack up and head to the mountains, know that when we say mountains, we really mean it!
Dillsboro NC elevation starts at 1,975 feet. Think of this as your starting point. If you want to get a beautiful mountain view, you've gotta climb some mountains. Mountain roads are typically gravel, steeper, narrower and curvier than you may be use to driving. This is all part of our charm.
We do have one big hill to get up. It is gravel. We regularly drive a Hyundai Sonata up. While AWD vehicles make everything easier they are not required. Maintain an even speed (10mph) going up and you should have no issues. If you have Traction Control, you will do better turning it off going uphill.

Birthday celebration in the mountains

We booked our weekend trip to Toasted MarshMellow at the last minute to celebrate my birthday. Chuck and Sandy are excellent hosts. They checked in with us to make sure we had everything needed for our trip. We have stayed at several of the cabins offered and we keep coming back because we always have a wonderful stay. The views are incredible. The cabins are fully stocked with everything you could possibly want or need. Their location is private yet convenient to all local activities. The hosts go above and beyond to make sure you have a wonderful experience. There are board games for the kids. For me being a pet parent a special touch was a basket with towels for the doggies. Our pups always love exploring. Thanks for a fantastic visit.I’m sure we will be back in a few months !

Quiet and relaxing weekend.

We stayed here the weekend before Christmas 2024, and it was perfect. The cabin is near a few other properties, but far enough away to where you don’t hear or see other people. The cabin was also decorated for Christmas which was a nice touch. The kitchen was well-stocked for a rental property. It was nice and cold during our stay so we really enjoyed the hot tub. The cabin is also conveniently located between Sylva and Bryson City if you want to go out and explore the area. We had a great stay, and would definitely book here again!

The cutest and daintiest little cabin we have stayed in. It was perfect for my husband and I. It had everything we needed for our 3 day stay. The host is very responsive and was always there for any questions we had. The location was perfect and exactly what we were looking for. We loved sitting outside by the fire pit and hopping in and out of the hot tub relaxing. It was a getaway from a busy couple of months for the holiday season. It is exactly what we needed and we rested and enjoyed the comfort of the cabin. The location has a great view overlooking the mountains. The Location of the fire pit and hot tub is private and peaceful. It was decorated for Christmas and extremely clean. The owners of the cabin think of everything you need. Has plenty of games to play at night, TVs in every room, K beds in both of the bedrooms, which are very comfortable. he is the perfect place for a small family or a 2 couples. We will be back.

Game Day Getaway

Toasted Marshmallow is such a cute cabin and has something for everyone: unique decor, outdoor covered seating, a fire pit with more chairs, and a gurgling garden fountain. Just right for 2-5 people! The only real issue is the gravel access road, which requires a slow and steady attack in order to make it tonthe top. Our host, however, offered very cleqr instructions on how to do that, and we had no problems.

Peaceful getaway

This little cabin feels secluded and so homey. We spent the weekend here with friends and all had a great time. It had everything we needed for the stay and we all agreed we would be back again another time. The hosts were nice responded quickly to any messages we sent. Location is a quick drive to Cherokee and close to lots of other adventures in the area.

We had another fantastic last minute weekend getaway. We have booked and stayed at several of the cabins offered by the hosts because we can trust every visit will be a great experience. The hosts make sure you have everything needed to enjoy your stay. Cabins are well appointed. Kitchens are stocked with all the tools one would need to cook a full meal. Lots of amenities WiFi, Smart TV’s , board games, a fire pit, and much more. MOST IMPORTANTLY the CABIN IS CLEAN…… I can’t say enough about the view. The VIEW WAS AMAZING! We could just sit for hours and enjoy the mountain view. It’s so nice to relax and just take in the view. We had a fantastic time. I’m confident we’ll be back. Thanks again for another amazing trip.

Great little cabin. Directions were great. Yes, the road is dirt but you aren't on it for very long. Everything in the cabin was wonderful and we especially appreciated the light switches being labeled. Terrific location in the middle of Cherokee and Bryson City. Only one challenge - the sofa is not good (think of your old dorm sofa) - it should be replaced. Other than that...things were really awesome. Thanks

Awesome location & communication

The property was great & exactly as listed, except for the hot tub, which the owner messaged me about as soon as I booked (apparently, this was an amenity they did not put in their listing, but showed up). He wanted to be sure I wasn’t disappointed & he was continuously “on point” with communication & updates. I had a question on Sunday & he quickly called me to respond. Overall, A+++ experience!!!!!
