Welcome to The Coach House, a beautifully converted barn nestled in the historic village of Hambledon – famously known as the cradle of cricket. This thoughtfully restored home combines the charm of original features with modern-day comfort and design. Whether you`re planning a wedding weekend, a walking or cycling holiday, or simply craving a peaceful countryside break, The Coach House offers the perfect retreat in the heart of the South Downs National Park.
Set in a peaceful location next to a historic church and rolling vineyards, you’ll enjoy both privacy and convenience, with private parking, a tranquil enclosed garden, and scenic trails right on your doorstep.
Inside the Home
Step through the original carriage-lamp-lit entrance and into a space full of charm, warmth, and character.
• Spacious sitting room with soaring vaulted ceilings, exposed beams, and a large open fireplace
• Bi-fold doors open onto a sunny patio, seamlessly blending indoor and outdoor living
• 52-inch HD Smart TV and plenty of comfy seating for cozy evenings in
• Discover original carvings in the beams – a talking point for all guests!
• Mezzanine lounge with comfy chairs, workspace, and sweeping views over the garden and village
A Kitchen to Inspire
Cook, gather, and dine in a space that blends traditional English style with contemporary convenience.
• Original 1936 Aga alongside a modern electric oven and microwave
• Large fridge/freezer, dishwasher, coffee machine, and washing facilities
• Dining area ideal for long breakfasts or relaxed evening meals
• Boot room with seating and space for coats, shoes, and wellies – perfect after a countryside walk
Bedrooms & Bathrooms
• 3 stylish bedrooms:
o One double bedroom (ground floor)
o One twin bedroom (ground floor)
o One double bedroom (first floor)
• Family bathroom with full-size bath and shower
• Additional cloakroom with WC and shower
All bedrooms offer ample wardrobe space, quality linens, and a sense of calm, ideal for winding down after a day exploring the Downs.
Outdoor Living
The private, enclosed garden is perfect for morning coffees, al fresco dining, or simply relaxing in nature.
• Feature well and patio area with seating and BBQ (available in summer)
• Private driveway parking for 2 vehicles
• EV charging available (guests must bring their own 3-pin adaptor)
