It's not luxurious, just average with bad service
We were excited to stay at an apartment that stated to be luxury but it turned out to be just an average apartment. Some things were not as expected and some were great!
The check-in kind of set the tone for our stay - We had to pay a service fee which was quite a lot + city tax (amount you wouldn't casually have on you in cash). The man who checked us in required us to pay up front in cash when we arrived although the Italian laws claim that you pay when you leave (and the three other places we'd stayed at during our trip followed that). He was really rude and insisted on us either giving him a credit card number or walking to an ATM to take out cash. Seemed like their only concerns were money but not their guests...
The apartment was not very clean as there was mascara on the bathroom sink, toothpaste on the black bathroom door, the curtains had brown stains all over them and the balconies hadn't been swept since last summer and so on. Further, there came no water from the kitchen sink, the bathroom flooded during each shower and the apartment couldn't been locked from the outside.
The good thing was that the apartment perfectly located, and we were surprised to find a washing machine to use (but there was no drying rack so we had to improvise). The bedroom was nice, but the AC was a bit too cold during the nights and there were only sponge-pillows in the bed.
It's a nice apartment, but definitely not luxurious and I wouldn't pay a lot of amount for staying there..
