We had a wedding to attend in Ventura for the weekend of 4/25/'26. We arrived Friday and the host was able to allow us to check in early (which was great)! Location was great and the house is super cute. Beds were comfortable and kitchen had everything we needed. The backyard is cute and big! We couldn't figure out how to turn on the party lights though, and never asked so that's on us! On the "down" side, there were some things that could use attention to make the stay better. The carpet in the living room is "buckling" and we even tripped on it. The floorboards/trim were dusty and dirty. The lighting is poor, especially in the kitchen and dining area. While there's a lamp, it's on the cheap side and doesn't give off much light. There's also NO A/C. I'm glad it wasn't hot when we visited! I can't imagine staying here during the hot summer days. I tried to turn on the window unit in the master, but it didn't seem to work. I didn't ask about it, so again, that's on me. Maybe there was a trick to it! The shower in the master bath is really bad. You have to run the sink until the water is hot, then pull out the knob and twist to turn the shower on! The water pressure was poor and the shower head is sort of a "snake" and doesn't fully extend or go out far enough to stand under it. The patio furniture is VERY worn out and old. It took us a bit to figure out the spa, but once we did, that was a nice feature. Overall, it's a cute place, nice location, and worked for what we needed.
