The Space:

The Timberview Retreat combines classic Tahoe cabin character with plenty of space for families and groups to relax, play, and reconnect. The open main living area features vaulted ceilings, comfortable seating, a 75" TV, Bose speakers, and a cozy fireplace, while a separate game room with a pool table gives everyone another place to hang out.



The well-equipped kitchen has plenty of counter space, breakfast bar seating for four, and a dining table for 8, making it easy to prepare and enjoy meals together. For additional entertainment, the home features YouTube TV, Amazon Fire TVs, a PlayStation 5, and a Blu-ray player.



Sleeping arrangements are spread across four bedrooms plus a loft, giving families flexibility and privacy. The primary suite features a king bed, while the upper-level rooms include a queen bedroom and a kid-friendly bunk room with a twin-over-full bunk bed. The pool table room includes two queen Murphy beds, and the loft provides an additional double Murphy bed and workspace.



The home has three full bathrooms, with one conveniently located on each level.



Outside, the large wooded yard is surrounded by tall pines with no homes directly behind the property. Relax in the private hot tub, gather on the spacious deck, or fire up the BBQ after a day exploring Truckee and the surrounding mountains.



Located in Tahoe Donner, you're close to skiing, hiking, golf, mountain biking, and the many recreational amenities available through the community, including pools, fitness facilities, saunas, tennis, golf, and cross-country skiing. Historic downtown Truckee is about 4 miles away, while Palisades Tahoe, Northstar, Donner Memorial State Park, and Lake Tahoe are all within easy driving distance.



The home is allowed up to 8 guests, plus additional children under 13 years old in accordance with the City of Truckee ordinance.

Sleeping Arrangements:

Primary Suite — Main Level: King bed with professionally laundered bedding and pressed sheets.

Bedroom 2 — Upper Level: Queen bed with professionally laundered bedding.

Bedroom 3 — Upper Level / Bunk Room: Twin-over-full bunk bed. This kid-friendly room does not have a closet but includes a dresser for clothing storage.

Bedroom 4 — Entry Level / Game Room: Two queen Murphy beds, allowing the room to function as both a game space and additional sleeping area.

Loft — Upper Level: Double Murphy bed and workspace.



All beds are prepared with professionally laundered linens and pressed sheets, with towels thoughtfully staged throughout the home and additional towels provided in each bathroom.



Bathrooms: The Timberview Retreat has three full bathrooms, with one located on each level of the home.

Guest Access:

You have full access to the entire cabin, including the kitchen, living and dining areas, four bedrooms, and three bathrooms. Enjoy the private patio, backyard, and hot tub. The home also features a workspace, laundry room, and garage parking. You may also use the community resort amenities, such as the pool, gym, sauna, and tennis courts (at additional cost). Please note that one closet is locked for owner storage, but all other areas are yours to enjoy.



The Neighborhood:

Located in the scenic Tahoe Donner community, our cabin is the ideal base for your mountain adventures. You are within three miles of world class skiing at Tahoe Donner Downhill and Cross Country areas. Enjoy community amenities like pools, a fitness center, and tennis courts (see Trout Creek and amenity costs). Historic downtown Truckee is just four miles away, offering charming shops and dining. Nature lovers are three miles from Donner Memorial State Park, while Northstar California and Palisades Tahoe are a short drive away. With a local grocery store three miles away, our location offers the perfect balance of peaceful retreat and easy access to the Sierra Nevada.



Getting Around:

Getting around is easy when you stay at our Truckee cabin. We recommend having a car to fully enjoy the surrounding Sierra Nevada area and the various ski resorts. You will have plenty of parking with a private two car garage and additional driveway space for up to four vehicles total. Please note that street parking is not permitted. For those traveling by air, the Reno Tahoe International Airport is the closest major hub, typically a forty five minute drive from the property depending on road conditions.

IMPORTANT TO NOTE:

* Most of the Tahoe Donner amenities have a nominal fees, with guest pass, if you choose to use them. Trout Creek Rec Center is currently $30 per guest; infants 0-2 years old are free, kids 3-6 are $10.

* All vacation rentals have a max of 6 passes for 6 guests to use amenities at once.
