The Borgo itself is lovely but my stay unfortunately less so. I’d asked Borgo staff if it was the feasibile to travel to the Borgo just outside Todi by bus from Rome or if they had other suggestions. I asked as I wad considering renting a car while still in the capital, but the staff simply provided a link to a bus company and advised that they would arrange for transfer between the station and the Borgo areas of arrival. Thirty minutes before arriving by bus, I received another message that their usual transfers service was unavailable and they’d send another person, whose fee for the less than ten minute ride is 40 Euro. When I arrived, I shared with the front desk that I’d found the fee surprising and asked if there was another option to get into Todi. I was told that transit could only be provided by staff or the one taxi driver in town, and the member of staff who does this was sick. I spoke with a different woman at the front desk later that afternoon after not hearing back from the taxi driver about my booked departure at 8 am three days later. She advised that if the taxi driver could not help, then I would need to figure out some other option as while there is in house transit, 8 am is too early as that person would not be working early on a Saturday morning.
