Štefánik's tomb.

Milan Rastislav Štefánik was a Slovak politician, diplomat and astronomer. He was a leading figure in establishing an independent Czechoslovakian state following the collapse of the Austro-Hungarian empire after the First World War.

He died in a plane crash in May 1919, and his tomb is situated on Bradlo (543 m) near Košariská, the village in which he was born.

There are several hiking trails to get here, including the 115 km Štefánik trail from Devín castle which passes through Bratislava.

Rozhladna pod Klenovou
Bojnice Castle is a medieval castle built in the 12th century, although has seen various upgrades and reconstruction over the years.  It's one of the most visited castles in Slovakia, and could be done as a day trip from Bratislava, although an early start is needed!
