Booked this last minute for an overnight stay. Check in was very straightforward and property very clean. We arrived quite late after a day out in York, the pub was quite lively and popular on a Saturday night looked like a nice atmosphere. Room very clean and well appointed. Some noise from downstairs such as doors banging and voices but not excessive and once it was closing time was silent. Shower was hot and steady for both us in the morning and the breakfast cooked to order was excellent with plenty of options. My only small criticism was that it would be nice if they provided conditioner alongside the shampoo shower gel and hand cream in the bathroom, and the mattress was a bit like a bouncy castle which took some getting used to. It would also maybe be a suggestion during the change of seasons to provide a bed throw as the radiator didn’t seem to be on much even when turned up and it was a little chilly overnight at times. Otherwise a great stay and we’d probably book again if visiting family again in the area

Don't bother looking at the room photos online !!! Nothing alike, I picked an executive room that looked lovely, however the room we had was awful, run down, only plus was a comfy bed. Carpet was rank, decor was disgusting and the chair to sit on was stained, filthy and broken. We walked down a corridor and there were loads of dead blue bottle flies on the carpet so many looked like a polka dot carpet, and ones flying around, hence we didn't bother with breakfast.

Amazing accommodation and very close to York. We loved it and will definitely be coming back.

Second time to stay in this property, I will come to stay the third time later
