There is a number of lodges , each having everything you need from a fridge to a microwave, fresh clean towels and bedding, breakfast croissants were provided which was a nice touch and also some milk- again lovely touch. The beds were fine - slightly uncomfortable, however, given the amount of people who sleep on them this i guess is a given at times. Heating was great, easy to increase or decrease ...

„The property has a lot of character and when it was renovated, clearly a lot of money was spent on it installing whirlpool baths, a small cinema, a large sheltered hot tub etc.. It was excellent. However, having said that, the property now gives the overall feel of not being looked after for several years. Some examples might help. Many doors either don’t close properly or need forcing and the front door needed more than that to actually close it. The corridor roof leading to the pool room ...

„Zimmer sind sehr klein und man hört alles über einem, alte Holzdecken die jeden Ton weiterleiten. Überhaupt kein Handyempfang und nur ein sehr schwaches WLan falls man überhaup WLan Empfang hat, meine Heizung im Badzimmer ging nicht und es war sehr kalt, zum Glück funktioniert wenigstens das warme Wasser. Trotzdem ich die höchste Zimmerkategorie gewählt hatte bekam ich nur ein Zimmerchen im Nebengebäude. Sorry to say, but never again. “

„Having enjoyed the stay at this very special Hilton. Nice atmosphere, great architecture, nice bar and spa area. Restaurant service at breakfast is struggling when it comes to peak times and could be more friendly. Dinner buffet/menu for 25 GBP p.P. is too expensive as quality and variety of food is below average as well as service level - having a coupon to get a "free drink" with self service reminds me of a canteen - not a Hilton.“
