„The cottage is small, but perfectly equipped with everything you could possibly need. It is a great starting point for various trips to the surrounding area. We had a great time and would recommend it to everyone! Just one thing: the last few yards to the cottage are on a rather steep hill (hence "Hillside") and it can be a bit tricky to park your car there. You'll need to ascend the last few yards up to the cottage, but if you're reasonably fit, it shouldn't be a problem.“

„We were a little apprehensive about the vicinity of the A51, but did not find this intrusive. It was a gentle pleasure to see the canal boats going past, and the children on their morning route to the village primary school.“

„We loved the little village of Cromford and we may of overlooked it if we hadn’t stayed here. Cafes and a couple of pubs within walking distance. We were worried about parking with it being Easter, but it wasn’t an issue. It was a great place to stay to explore the Peak District. Cannot fault the hosts, we had everything we needed plus a couple added extras always welcome after a long drive !! “

„We booked the cottage for a week's stay whike work was being done on our home. It was a real home from home too. Everything's there, including electric blankets to warm the beds. Although thd heating kept the cottage toasty, we turned most off except living room and bathroom. Loved the log burner too, a real focal point. Internet provided was good, a bonus as the phone signal there is poor, as is most of the local area due to hills etc. Would certainly recommend.“

„Fantastic little cottage and the attention to details was great!!! The owners supplied milk, coffee, tea and chocolate chip muffins which were very much welcomed after a long drive. Location was brilliant and very close to Alton Towers (5 mins drive) and the suggested walks around the area were very relaxing. All in all we had a fantastic and relaxing time staying in this cottage. Definitely will be back and recommend to family and friends.“

„This a nice little house in Alferton, it was great for myself, a friend and my large dog. It was well equipped and comfortable. It was a little dated upstairs and there was no photos of details of the bedrooms but they were clean and well catered. My friend who stayed in the back room noted the boiler (which is in that room) is very noisy and kept her up but that wouldn’t bother some people.
